My little Daisy May has been going to Coastal Vet since they opened. Every experience has been awesome but yesterday, April 1st, took awesome to another level. Daisy May started feeling sick on Sunday and I called the emergency line and Dr. Cromwell was very helpful in telling me what to do. Fast forward to April 1st when Daisy May was worse and they fit us in down in Redmill. Dr. Hofmeister did x rays and an ultrasound and administered an IV for hours. By the afternoon Daisy May was no better. Dr. Hofmeister said she needed emergency surgery at the 30th st location immediately. Okay I have to make this long story shorter: by the time we got to the 30th street location we were greeted by Hannah and Chelsea who said they would be assisting with the surgery. They invited me into the operating room where I witnessed the entire surgery. Dr. Hofmeister told me everything she was doing and it was the most comforting thing they could have done for me. After the surgery Daisy May and I went into the recovery room where Cynthia monitored Daisy May’s vitals. Mind you by this time the office was closed and Dr. Hofmeister was kept in the loop via Cynthia the entire time. IF it had been necessary for us to have had to spend the night Cynthia said she would be there with us the whole time. When Dr. Hofmeister released us I said the following to Cynthia: “Cynthia I can’t thank you all enough. If I could I would give each one of you 5 million dollars or more for everything y’all have done for my baby!” Her response encompasses EVERYTHING about how the entire staff feels at Coastal Vet. She said: “That is so sweet but we would all be back at work the next day. 24/7 is our commitment to these babies!” I will NEVER forget how the ENTIRE staff at Coastal Vet treated me and my little Daisy May. They have already called to check on her this morning. There aren’t enough words to adequately thank Coastal Vet. Dr. Hofmeister and crew: thank you for saving my baby’s life. I am forever indebted to you! ❤️

Apr 02, 2025 · A JenneyTop-notch vets, professional staff, comprehensive care, and high-end facility. Dr. Hofmeister & Dr. Cromwell are wonderful and have helped us countless times. We've been members for over a year, and we'll never go anywhere else. It's so nice that they're only a text and/or phone call away since being a member includes 24/7 care. Thanks for all you do for Maddox.
Jul 31, 2024 · Morgan HelwigWe met with Dr. Hofmeister with our girls for a tour and discuss our plans for caring for our girls. The staff was amazing and she was so kind and patient with us. The facility is clean, everyone is pleasant and I love that I can be with my nervous girl for procedures. Lisa the membership advisor answered all our questions on the phone. We never felt pressured into one of their higher end plans, & she understood it just doesn’t fit right now because of our current wellness insurance that we prepaid. But most of all, they loved on our Golden Girls while we were talking. We are so happy to have found them and appreciate their kindness and patience as we love our girls so much and only want the best!
Oct 26, 2024 · RachelI went to four vets before finding Coastal. Do not waste your time going anywhere else in the area. Dr. Cromwell and Dr. Hofmeister make you and your pet feel welcome and acutely cared for. Their staff is high energy and loves every animal in there. I couldn’t be more thankful for the service and support they’ve provided my family. My mastiff lost mobility in one of her hind legs and Dr. Hofmeister drove medication to my house at 9pm on a weekend and then saw her in the office the next day. Dr. Hofmeister was incredibly pragmatic when informing me of Rhea’s osteosarcoma. She was kind and patient with me as I cried in the clinic. Her and her team helped me carry my 120lb baby and treated her with anything we could to make her more comfortable the next two months. When it was Rhea’s time, it all happened very quickly, and once life was no longer fair for Rhea, Dr. Hofmeister was in my home the following day to put her down. It was the most peaceful and professional experience one could have had. The entire Coastal staff sent me a very personal card that I keep in my desk drawer and look at whenever I need a good cry. I am forever grateful for Coastal Vet. From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys!
Feb 04, 2025 · Kimberly CostenI recently visited this clinic for an initial consultation, hoping to check out the facility and learn more about their services before deciding whether it was the right fit for my dogs. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated. During the visit, I shared that my senior dog had recently experienced a concerning episode involving vomiting and what appeared to be a brief seizure or fainting. Without examining my dog, the vet nonchalantly suggested that it was “most likely a brain tumor,” which was both alarming and disheartening. I wasn’t even a client yet, and there was no opportunity to examine my dog that same day. This offhand remark about a potentially devastating diagnosis was not only unprofessional but also deeply inconsiderate. We also brought our other dog along, and when the vet staff brought him back from being weighed, instead of handing us his leash, they simply tossed it on the ground. This lack of care in handling him added to our negative impression. On top of that, we had informed the staff that both of us are highly allergic to cats, yet they placed us in a room designated for cats. Our allergies flared up during the visit and continued to bother us the rest of the evening. Although this clinic has great reviews, our experience was far from positive. After seeking a second opinion at another veterinary clinic, my dog was diagnosed with high blood pressure—not a brain tumor as was so casually suggested. His bloodwork came back normal, which was a huge relief, but it also made me realize how reckless that initial assumption had been by this facility. Overall, I found this visit to be unprofessional, inconsiderate, and lacking in empathy toward both pets and their owners. Given that this is a “membership-only” clinic, it felt as though their primary goal was getting us to sign up, rather than genuinely caring for our pets. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.
