We lost our beloved boys some time ago and informed the vets some three times now . We find this most upsetting being barraged with trying to sell us endless goods and nonsense ..NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR EMAIL . We are having to send a legal letter even though we blocked them , their intense sales pitch never stops .. We had stopped going anyway as one cat was misdiagnosed. and the vet is most curt , patronising and disrespectful.Goodness knows who he thinks he is , some vet in a grungy basement . You鈥檇 think they were paying us ! Go to Blue Pearl opposite and save yourself the headache.. They are kind , gentle , well trained and HAVE GOOD MANNERS . And no we do not work for blue Pearl or anything associated .

Welcome to Clinton Veterinary Center

Clinton Veterinary Center is a Pet Hospital located at 419 W 55th St, New York, NY 10019, USA. They can be contacted at (212) 333-5548 or their mobile number +1 212-333-5548.

As a local Pet Hospital, Clinton Veterinary Center is positioned to offer a range of veterinary services and potentially related goods for pet owners in the New York City area. Based on available information, including customer reviews, a comprehensive understanding of their environment, specific services, features, and current promotional information requires careful consideration of differing perspectives.

Environment:

One customer review describes the physical location as a "grungy basement," which may suggest a less modern or aesthetically appealing environment compared to some other veterinary facilities. However, it is important to note that this is a single subjective description and may not reflect the overall functionality or cleanliness of the medical areas within the clinic. Another perspective is offered indirectly through the positive interaction with Dr. Fisch, which implies a professional setting where a veterinarian could take a phone call and access necessary information.

Services:

While a comprehensive list of services is not explicitly available in the provided information, the reference to a cat being "misdiagnosed" suggests that the clinic offers diagnostic services and treatment for illnesses. Additionally, the negative review mentions being "barraged with trying to sell us endless goods," indicating that they likely offer products for sale, potentially including medications, food, or other pet-related items, aligning with the platform category of Pet Hospital which often includes goods for sale. The positive review highlights Dr. Fisch's willingness to go above and beyond in assisting someone who mistakenly called their clinic for an emergency at another facility, suggesting a commitment to helping animals even if they are not direct patients at that moment. This implies a level of care that extends beyond basic service provision.

Features:

One notable feature, based on a customer experience, is the helpfulness and thoughtfulness of at least one of the veterinarians, Dr. Fisch. His actions in providing the correct contact information and even speaking with the other clinic's reception demonstrate a level of care and generosity that made a strong positive impression on a non-client. This suggests that at least some members of the team may prioritize patient well-being and client support. Conversely, another feature highlighted in a negative review is an intense and persistent sales approach, even after a client has indicated they no longer wish to receive communications or services. This suggests a potentially aggressive marketing strategy that some clients may find off-putting. The same review also describes a veterinarian as "most curt, patronising and disrespectful," indicating that the bedside manner of at least one staff member may be a concern for some pet owners.

Promotional Information:

The provided reviews do not contain any positive promotional information or specific details about current offers or discounts. The negative review explicitly mentions being subjected to an "intense sales pitch" and "barraged with trying to sell us endless goods and nonsense," which could be interpreted as a form of promotion, albeit one that was negatively received by this particular customer. They also strongly advise against providing an email address to the clinic due to the persistent nature of these sales efforts. Therefore, based on this information, there are no positive promotional aspects to objectively report.

In summary, Clinton Veterinary Center is a Pet Hospital located in New York, NY, offering veterinary services and potentially selling pet-related goods. Customer experiences appear to be varied. One positive interaction highlights the exceptional helpfulness and care demonstrated by Dr. Fisch, even towards someone who contacted the wrong clinic. This suggests a capacity for thoughtfulness and a commitment to animal welfare. However, another review presents a significantly negative experience, citing issues with misdiagnosis, a perceived lack of professionalism and respect from one of the veterinarians, and an aggressive and unwanted sales approach. This customer strongly recommends avoiding the clinic and suggests an alternative nearby. Due to these conflicting perspectives and the lack of explicit details on current services, environment (beyond one description), and positive features or promotions, local users are encouraged to consider these points and potentially seek further information or recent reviews from other sources to form a comprehensive opinion before deciding on their pet care provider.

It is important for local users to weigh these contrasting experiences. The positive anecdote regarding Dr. Fisch suggests a potential for compassionate and helpful care. However, the detailed negative account raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy, professional conduct, and business practices. As there is no additional information available to provide a more balanced or comprehensive overview, individuals seeking veterinary care in the area may want to investigate further, perhaps by looking at other online reviews or contacting the clinic directly with specific questions about their services, environment, and policies.

Given the strong negative feedback regarding communication preferences and sales tactics, potential clients may want to be cautious about sharing their contact information and should feel empowered to clearly state their communication preferences. Ultimately, choosing a veterinary care provider is a significant decision, and it is advisable to gather as much information as possible from various sources to ensure the best fit for your pet's needs and your own expectations.

I have never been to this practice before but I feel compelled to share a review because of an interaction with Dr. Fisch that still stands out in my mind. It demonstrated the level of care and thoughtfulness that only the best veterinarians provide. Our dog was referred to Blue Pearl (located across the street from this practice) for an emergent liver concern. In my panic, I mistakenly called Clinton Vet Center instead. Dr. Fisch, who answered the phone, could have simply told me I had the wrong place and directed me to Blue Pearl. Instead, he listened to the reason for my call, and then, without correcting me of my mistaken location, put me on hold. After a brief wait, he came back with the correct contact number for Blue Pearl, as well as the name of the specific vet with whom I needed to schedule an appointment. He had even spoken with their reception and they were expecting my call. I was astounded by the level of care, generosity, and thoughtfulness he showed, especially as someone who was a complete stranger to him. His actions made such a strong impression on us, particularly given the busy nature of a veterinary practice. Although we regrettably moved shortly after, I still recall this experience with immense gratitude and am delighted that people's beloved pets are able to be cared for by such a kind person.

Our baby boy had a deep teeth cleaning with 2 molar removals recently. Dropped him off around 930 am and was told he'd be ready for pick up around 3pm. I was so nervous the whole time because he would be asleep under general anesthesia. Millie at the desk was very nice and explained the whole process to us and kept us informed every hour we called to check lol.... Katherine was super cute and gentle... helping our fur baby in and out of the procedure. There was also a Male nurse who we noticed was so kind to all the fur babies there. Dr Fisch is an AMEOWZING Vet. He explained and showed us Xrays of our sons teeth and what needed to be done etc etc. Brought our baby home.. he was groggy for a day and then back to normal!!! His teef are now so sparkly and breath so furresh馃鉁笍馃鉁笍馃鉁笍馃鉁笍馃鉁笍馃 Really recommend him!! Fisch caused major bone deformity for my pet. Obviously, he is not an orthopedic, it's not his field of specialty, but he insisted on applying a splint for months where it was clear the bone was not sealing and it needed surgery to place a plate. Why did he do that? Either for financial gains or he was practicing on my poor pet who was in excruciating pain for months and at the end required a surgery to correct the damage Fisch caused. The surgery to correct the error Fisch did cost me $6000.00. I have leaned from locals at his previous location on 357 West 52nd street, which he rented for over 30 years, that he was kicked out because Fisch was unable to pay his rent. So he must has caused the damage to my poor pet leg for financial gains...

My dog was not well and crying Dr Fisch was very kind and comforting to him and me. He gently drew blood and gave him a shot for the pain. That evening he was playing ,eating and back to normal i thank God and Dr Fisch I will be in tomorrow for test results.
