馃洃馃洃 Please Read 馃洃馃洃 This place is horrible! I had my daughter take my companion cat in for a follow up appointment for a issues with his ear he had been dealing with. I had told them the day prior I wasn't going to do the surgery they suggested. As is was a tad expensive and I wanted to see what other options were available. Well they talked my daughter into approving the surgery and without so much as a phone call. They rushed Percy in for non-emergency surgery without taking proper protocol i.e food/water restrictions. Not to mention they don't do same day surgery for something like that according to the front desk. Well they killed my cat!! This non-emergency surgery that could have been done with proper preparation resulted In Percy Aspirating and his lungs filling up with fluid. The "vet" Josh had not remorse for what he did and was trying to hold back a smile while telling me my cat is dieing and what my options were. Well considering money was a issue hints why I didn't want to do the $1400 surgery. I had no choice but to put him down because he was suffering. They pulled the trigger and rushed my 5 year old baby boy into non-emergency surgery that ended his life. I would never recommend this horrible place to anyone!

Features and Approach to Care:

One positive aspect highlighted in a review is the apparent caring nature of the staff, specifically mentioning "Dr. Josh and the whole staff." The reviewer whose Lab mix underwent multiple surgeries praised their love and appreciation for everyone at Clifton Hollow, even referring to the hospital as their "pet care refuge." This suggests a compassionate and supportive approach to patient care, which can be a significant factor for pet owners.

However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This review raises serious concerns about communication, surgical protocols, and the veterinarian's demeanor. The allegations include proceeding with a surgery without explicit consent (only obtaining approval from the owner's daughter), not adhering to standard pre-operative procedures (food and water restriction), performing a same-day surgery that supposedly should not have been, and the tragic outcome of the pet's death due to aspiration. The reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the veterinarian's lack of remorse and perceived insensitivity.

These conflicting accounts highlight the importance of considering all available feedback and potentially seeking further information or clarification from the hospital regarding their protocols and patient communication practices.

Promotional Information:

Based on the provided information, there is no explicit promotional material available. However, the positive review serves as a form of endorsement, highlighting successful treatment outcomes and a positive relationship with the staff. Conversely, the negative review serves as a cautionary account.

Lucy is a 12 year old Lab mix who has never had any health issues until the last 4 months. In April she came up with a tumor on her right hind foot. It was biopsied and determined to be cancerous. We decided to have it removed. She healed amazingly well and still managed to love Dr. Josh! Then she got a hematoma in her left ear and a tumor in her right eye. More very successful surgery and still her love for Dr. Josh and the whole staff. Expensive yes but very necessary. Clifton Hollow is at the top of our pet care refuge! We love and appreciate everyone there.

Dr. Josh is caring. Staff is very friendly to humans and compassionate and loving to our four-leggeds. Saved Boise's life when as a youngster he accidently got out of the car, running across a busy parking lot and into an oncoming vehicle; now he is helping us negotiate the dog's senior years.

We love Clifton Hollow Animal Hospital! Both Dr.Josh Kinder & Dr.Sherri Kinder have been absolutely incredible with our pups. They take their time, explain our options, and genuinely care for our dogs. We have one dog who seems to have a myriad of reasons for visits to the vet and struggles with anxiety. She is always comfortable and calm when coming here which definitely makes us feel better about the experience overall. They go out of their way to provide the necessary information and more so that we can make informed decisions for our pups. We trust them completely and always recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. They provide very detailed estimates prior to any service so that we can get an accurate cost before moving forward with treatments of any kind. There鈥檚 nobody else we would take our girls to, thank you Clifton Hollow for going above and beyond and caring so deeply!

This place was holding my cat's prescription food hostage until I had them examined. When I called, naturally pissed off cause my cat was low on food & that's when I order his food through chewy, I apparently hurt the receptionists feelings & after I made an appointment for the end of the week I asked if they'd approve the prescription for the food & she said no they had to see him first. Naturally again I was pissed off & told her he was low on food & needed this food to keep from having a surgery if he got another urinary blockage. She then hung up on me because I was raising my voice, wow shocker there. I called and spoke with office manager who told me to take my cat elsewhere cause they didn't like that I was upset & raising my voice. All because I didn't respond to their 4 voice mails last month where they did not tell me they were going to with hold the prescription until they saw my cat. If you care for your animal don't take them here.
