I've taken all three of my boys here and the cost is reasonable. You have to remember, their services are not free and they have to put food on their tables and pay their bills as well. The staff here listens to me and my concerns. If the cost makes your jaw drop, ask your doctor for the before insurance costs on your medical bills.

Welcome to Claremore Veterinary Clinic

Claremore Veterinary Clinic, situated at 1201 N Lynn Riggs Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017, USA, operates as a pet hospital dedicated to providing veterinary care for the local community. As a "Pet Hospital" categorized facility, it aims to offer a range of medical services for animals, similar to how a hospital serves human patients. The clinic’s role is to ensure the health and well-being of companion animals through diagnostics, treatments, and ongoing care.

Environment and Atmosphere

The physical environment of Claremore Veterinary Clinic, like most pet hospitals, is designed to facilitate veterinary medical procedures while striving to maintain a professional and generally accommodating atmosphere. While specific architectural details or interior decor descriptions are not explicitly provided in the available information, one can infer certain aspects based on the nature of a veterinary clinic. Such facilities typically include a reception area for check-ins, multiple examination rooms, and specialized areas for surgery, diagnostics (such as an in-house laboratory or imaging equipment), and recovery. The focus is usually on cleanliness, adequate lighting, and practical layouts to ensure efficient workflow for the staff and a safe environment for the animals. The general demeanor of the staff, as suggested by a positive review mentioning "The staff here listens to me and my concerns," contributes significantly to the perceived atmosphere, indicating a team that aims to be attentive and empathetic to pet owners’ needs. However, it is also important to acknowledge that the highly emotional nature of veterinary care means that client experiences can vary, and a significant adverse event can profoundly impact a client's perception of the clinic's environment and care, as evidenced by a contrasting review.

Services Provided

As a veterinary clinic falling under the "Pet Hospital" category, Claremore Veterinary Clinic offers a range of services designed to address various aspects of animal health. Based on general veterinary practices and inferences from client reviews, their services would typically include, but are not limited to:

  • General Wellness and Preventive Care: This encompasses routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite prevention and control, and nutritional counseling. These services are fundamental to maintaining a pet's long-term health and preventing serious illnesses.

  • Dental Care: One review specifically mentions a dog undergoing teeth cleaning and needing extractions, indicating that comprehensive dental services are offered. This would include professional cleaning under anesthesia, dental extractions, and potentially other oral health procedures to address periodontal disease and maintain overall health.

  • Diagnostic Services: To properly diagnose conditions, a veterinary clinic relies on various diagnostic tools. This typically includes an in-house laboratory for blood tests, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as imaging services like X-rays (radiography) to visualize internal structures and aid in diagnosis.

  • Medical Treatment: The clinic would provide medical care for a wide array of illnesses and injuries. This involves prescribing medications, administering treatments for various conditions, and managing both acute and chronic diseases.

  • Surgical Procedures: While the depth of surgical services isn't explicitly detailed, most pet hospitals perform common surgical procedures such as spaying, neutering, and soft tissue surgeries. The critical incident mentioned in a review, involving anesthesia for a dental procedure, confirms that they conduct surgeries requiring anesthesia.

  • Client Consultation and Education: The positive feedback about staff listening to concerns suggests an emphasis on client communication. This would involve discussing treatment plans, explaining diagnoses, and offering advice on pet care.

Features and Approach to Care

Claremore Veterinary Clinic appears to operate with a focus on providing necessary veterinary services, acknowledging the financial aspect of pet care. One notable feature, as highlighted by a customer, is their approach to cost and transparency. The review stating, "The cost is reasonable. You have to remember, their services are not free and they have to put food on their tables and pay their bills as well. The staff here listens to me and my concerns. If the cost makes your jaw drop, ask your doctor for the before insurance costs on your medical bills," suggests that the clinic is upfront about its pricing and encourages clients to consider the inherent value of veterinary services, similar to human healthcare. This indicates a pragmatic and realistic stance on the economics of pet care, aiming to provide quality services while also running a viable business. The willingness of the staff to "listen to me and my concerns" points to an attempt at client-centered communication, where pet owners feel heard regarding their animals' health issues. However, it's also important to consider the varying experiences, as one review details a tragic outcome following a dental procedure, where the pet died due to an unknown cause, possibly an anesthetic reaction. This particular incident highlights the inherent risks associated with medical procedures and underscores the profound emotional impact such outcomes have on pet owners, leading to a "very hurt and sick feeling." This demonstrates that while clinics strive for positive outcomes, the complexities of veterinary medicine mean that not all cases yield the desired results, and transparency, even in adverse situations, becomes crucial.

Promotional Information and Client Relations

While specific promotional campaigns are not detailed, the clinic's location at 1201 N Lynn Riggs Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017, USA, provides easy accessibility for local residents. The nature of client reviews, both positive and negative, acts as a form of organic promotion and feedback. The positive review that defends the cost and praises the listening staff can serve to reassure potential clients about their reasonable pricing and attentive service. Conversely, the highly negative review, while painful for the clinic, highlights a critical incident that prospective clients might consider. Veterinary clinics often rely on word-of-mouth referrals and online reviews to build their client base. Their commitment to discussing costs and concerns directly with clients is a form of client relations, aiming to build trust and manage expectations regarding the financial aspects of pet healthcare. For current or prospective clients, direct contact with the clinic would be the primary means of obtaining up-to-date promotional offers or detailed service information.

I thought I liked this vet clinic. I took my dog to have his teeth cleaned. The teeth needed it. My dog also had some teeth that needed pulling. I got a call 3 hours after dropping off my dog to call the clinic. They were closed for lunch. I called at one and talked with the vet. My dog died. They do not know why. They said possibly a reaction to the anesthetic. I was shocked. I will not go to this place again Very hurt and sick feeling about what happened.
