Church Street Animal Hospital

We’ve been taking our various pets to Church Street since 1997, and despite those long years of loyalty, we were still debating leaving in recent years. The practice has transitioned to new ownership at the perfect time. Throughout the entire appointment, I was so happy with how I and my pets were treated. Right when I came in, because I was going to need to wait to check in, I was put straight into the exam room instead of waiting in the waiting room, so I could let my cats run free and destress a little bit (in their words!). Previously, I could be waiting for 15 minutes+ in the waiting room. Next, the vet tech and vet herself were so nice and committed to making my cats comfortable. They spent time petting them and giving them treats instead of jumping straight into the exam. I didn’t feel like they were rushing to leave the room/get to the next appointment, which meant I was comfortable going over all of my questions. Despite now living ~20 minutes away from the practice, I am sticking with Church Street because of how great this experience was. My cats also loved looking out the window (and the vet knew that cats liked hopping up there, so she even raised the blinds for them)!

We brought our very reactive senior dog here after our previous vet dropped us when their sedatives didn’t work and they weren’t willing to help us anymore. Thankfully, we found Church Street Animal Hospital and they were extremely understanding, kind, and compassionate. They really do care about their patients and are there to help. We ultimately had to do one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do and say goodbye to our old girl, but these wonderful people made the experience so much more peaceful than I have ever experienced. We will absolutely be back when we are ready for a new fur child. Thank you to everyone at Church Street Animal Hospital.

For once my dogs aren’t scared to go to the vet! I’ve never met a staff that cares more about their animals and the family’s that care for them! They’re kind, informative, and super patient with all our babies and we have a lot of them! Thank yall for all that you do for us! We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our babies ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My cat, Leo, was diagnosed an insulin dependent diabetic last November, when we lived in south Florida. A few months ago we moved to Decatur and Church Street Animal Hospital came highly recommended for him. Dr Starnes and her staff are absolutely wonderful. As a nurse, I am blown away by the incredible care Leo has received. I've never experienced such compassionate veterinary services and have had cats/dogs my entire life. Leo is doing so well under their care that we are looking at him possibly going into full remission as his blood sugars continue to improve drastically. Ty Dr Starnes and your amazing staff!! ❤️

I've been coming to Church Street Animal Hospital since the change in ownership and the quality of care is unmatched!! Dr. Starnes and the kind staff have shown me nothing but understanding and love towards my 2 cats and dog :) Not only are they healthy and happy, they LOVE going to see their vets!
