After being at the Chenango Animal Hospital I would recommend this vet to anyone, we dive from Pennsylvania about 45 minutes just to come to this vet. About 3 years ago my pup suffered from a lymes attack I called them and rushed him in for an urgent care appointment. I saw Dr, Gaylord she came in looked over my pup and run blood work. She came back in and told me that my pup kidneys were barely functioning and it was a very poor prognosis. BUT she told me that she would do anything I wanted whether that was putting him to rest or referring me to Cornell. After talking with her more she told me that most dogs in the condition he was in, do not make it, she then said if I wanted to fight for him she would help me with every medication she could give him. Ever since that moment I knew this was the vet my animals will be going too. The staff there are nothing but the best and treat our pets like they are their own. I would like to give a special thanks you Dr.Gaylord and the staff and Chenango Animal Hospital.

If you're a man, don't bother. This all female vet clinic will not be friendly. A helpful vet when I started going there 10 years ago for my cat. Care is good, but the way they treated me was unacceptable in my eyes. I added my girlfriend's dog to my account due to her having difficulties finding care for the dog. When the girlfriend left me, they moved my cat and her dog to a new account and "updated their system" which deleted my account. Spent an afternoon getting that sorted out and she needed to call to get the cat moved back under me, yet no one ever called me to take him off. I told them I was comfortable doing glucose tests at home after they confirmed my suspicion the cat developed diabetes in his old age, then insisted I needed to bring him in for an overnight glucose curve, and quoted me $300 more after they charged $600 for diagnosis and materials for shots to begin treatment.
