Eh, they’ll usually get you in quickly but they’ve given me the MOST expensive option every time and then the vet tech made me feel terrible for not wanting to pay $100 a month for an anti anxiety med. The vet tech also contradicted the vet and the vet did not come out front to resolve any questions or issues. Additionally, the script that they gave me to refill this expensive medication does not match the dosage on the bottle they gave me, a very careless and possibly dangerous mistake. For not a single a visit have they been upfront with any of their pricing so be prepared to be hit with a giant bill whenever you are ready to leave. If they talk you into a shot that needs a booster (like the flu or Lyme), please be aware that they will charge you every single time (for the initial shot as well as any boosters.)They didn’t let me know that up front either. Not a great experience. P.s. They refused to offer me a cheaper option despite me asking and now I’m stuck with an expensive med that he will have to be weaned off of before I can try another med.

This was our beagle mix Leonard's first visit to Charm City Veterinary Hospital and I was very happy with the care he received. Leonard was very happy with the liver snacks. Thank you for taking care of our boy and making sure he was up to date on all his vaccinations!

If you have a dog with no fear of vet visits, this is likely a good place. However, if you have a dog fearful of vets I do not recommend. My dog is fearful and (mis)labeled by this practice as aggressive. However, my dog’s prior vet (for his entire life) does not have that label in his record. His trainer, walker, boarder, and daycare, have all said he is social and would “not hurt a fly”. Yes, he indeed has anxieties and fearful of city noises and needs to warm up to strangers. However, he has gone through training to address these fears and develop confidence. We do not intend to return, as they do not know how to treat a dog with fears even though they advertise they have 2 techs fear free certified. A physical exam was not attempted other than a light shined in his face for 2 seconds. It was clear their team did not know how to foster a safe rapport as a confident pack leader for a fearful dog. Instead they behaved w extreme caution, w bias, and I felt that my dog did not receive fair and proper care. Zero mention of their fear free certified techs and approaches shared or provided. Overall communication I’d rate as poor. Although our old vet moved away, we have resumed care with them.
