We’ve been taking our pup to Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point for a long time and have spent thousands of dollars on their care. While we appreciate everything the vets have done, we were extremely disappointed when we requested a simple medication refill and were told we couldn’t get it without a $150 office visit—something we just couldn’t afford at the moment. It’s frustrating to feel like financial constraints are prioritized over a pet’s well-being. We expected more flexibility and compassion, especially as loyal clients.

Customer reviews present a mixed picture of Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point. One long-term client expressed disappointment regarding the clinic's policy on medication refills. Despite spending thousands of dollars on their pet's care, they were denied a simple refill without a $150 office visit, which they found financially challenging. They felt this policy prioritized financial constraints over their pet's well-being and expected more flexibility and compassion from a clinic they had been loyal to.

In contrast, another reviewer had a positive experience, describing the clinic as a "very good vet clinic." They appreciated the clear communication about their cats' needs and found the staff incredibly friendly. They also noted the quick follow-up visits. While they found the costs slightly higher than usual, they didn't consider them excessive. They also noted that the clinic is queer friendly.

The reviews indicate a disparity in experiences, with some clients finding the clinic's communication and friendliness commendable, while others express concerns about the clinic's financial policies and perceived lack of flexibility. The issue of requiring an office visit for medication refills is a significant point of contention for some clients.

The clinic's ability to provide clear communication and a friendly environment is evident in the positive review. However, the negative review highlights potential issues with financial policies and their impact on client satisfaction.

Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point is recommended with caution. Potential clients should inquire about the clinic's policies regarding medication refills and discuss any financial concerns. The clinic's clear communication and friendly environment are positive aspects, but the reported inflexibility regarding medication refills may be a deterrent for some pet owners. Potential clients who value clear communication and a queer friendly environment may find this clinic a good fit, but should be prepared to discuss financial expectations beforehand.

Very good vet clinic. They were very clear in communicating what our cats needed, and were incredibly friendly. Cats were in and out pretty quickly at their follow up. Cost a bit more then we were used to but not overly so. Queer friendly :)

My car is my whole world and we had to find a new vet after moving to the area. I’m so glad I went with Central Animal Hospital! The location is convenient, the facility is CLEAN, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s imperative for me to have a vet who is invested in my cats health and well-being and I received that in troves during our visit. They even gave us a cute bag and a treat to go along with his meds! We are VERY grateful!!!

We're snowbirds with two cats. For the past five years, our cats have been patients at CAH PP. We've always been more than satisfied with the care given and their prices are reasonable.

We're really grateful we found Central Animal Hospital. I wanted a vet close to home, and kindness was a priority for me. Dr Forkner was knowledgeable and so patient. No one pushed any products or unnecessary treatments, and I felt confident in her advice. I like that the business is female owned and operated, and it's conveniently on the southside. We'll be back soon for checkups and meds 💕
