We’re delighted to now have a caring and capable vet for when we’re here.

Dec 12, 2024 · Louis VilardoI do not like posting reviews but my experience at this vet was so disappointing and heartbreaking. I do not want anyone new to the area to make the same mistake I did. A few days after my 7-month-old kitten Norman’s neuter, he started vomiting blood and was so lethargic. I called my local vet, Cashiers Village Veterinary, but the receptionist told me, ‘It has nothing to do with his neuter.’ I didn’t care; I just wanted my kitten to be cared for. They were so dismissive and impersonal, which was so unexpected. I thought they would want to help this little kitten get the best possible care. The earliest they could see him was the following day in the afternoon— absolutely no urgency. Desperate, I called another vet an hour away who took us in right away, no matter what their schedule was. They asked me so many questions about him on the phone, which was appreciated because it showed a sense of care and urgency for Norman’s health. Dr. Betsy Hartrige discovered that Norman’s fever was 105.8 (106 is organ failure!). He had to stay overnight for two nights just to recover and even begin to eat again. I’m so heartbroken that the local vet didn’t help poor Norman, especially after treating him just days earlier for surgery. Isn’t it the job of a vet to care for animals, especially when they’re suffering so much right after recent treatment? If it wasn’t for Dr. Betsy, Norman wouldn’t have made it. I’m posting this review only to help anyone else who moves or is new to the area, like I was, and is looking for a responsible vet hospital. Vet your vets!
Dec 14, 2024 · Rachael BowkerI love this place. I've been taking my animals here for the last 15 years. They were especially helpful during the time I was fostering bottle baby kittens, and I always learn a lot through my conversations with them.
Nov 06, 2024 · D HAmazing experience with my kitty! He needed his initial exam, vaccinations, and the dreaded neutering. They did it all in one visit and the price was extremely reasonable... to the point where I wasn't sure they charged me for everything! If you have pets, this is a wonderful place to take them!
Mar 27, 2021 · Katharine CraigVery nice. Vet is very friendly and takes time to explain and allow all of our questions. Staff has also been very helpful. We appreciate this clinic and the service they have provided.
