My babygirl was very sick and CVS was recommended by our veterinarian friend. Once we had tests run, she was quickly diagnosed with pancreatitis. They kept her overnight and gave her the professional care she needed. The win for me is that she was attended to by a doctor and a technician all night long, not being left alone in a 7-5 office. Thank you CVS for being so loving and attentive to my dog and so caring towards me and my husband. Y’all are the best!!

One can expect a clean and sterile environment equipped with advanced medical equipment necessary for diagnostics, surgery, and critical care. Such a facility typically includes examination rooms for consultations, surgical suites, imaging areas for X-rays and ultrasounds, a laboratory for in-house testing, and comfortable and monitored recovery areas for animals staying overnight or recovering from procedures. This could include procedures for trauma, cancer, organ dysfunction, and congenital abnormalities.
- Anesthesia and Pain Management: Ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during procedures is paramount. Veterinary specialist hospitals typically have highly trained veterinary technicians and sophisticated monitoring equipment for anesthesia. They also focus on comprehensive pain management protocols to keep animals comfortable before, during, and after procedures.

Jan 08, 2025 · Susan LoflinOur poor little pup Skya looked like maybe she had been poisoned or had gotten into something in the yard. It was 9 PM on a Friday night and we noticed she was drooling and just kind of staring ahead not even laying her head down on her bed. It was really scary because she’s only six years old and is in otherwise perfect health. I was so grateful that Carolina Veterinary Specialists were open! I first called their Steele Creek location but they didn’t have a doctor available so they recommended I drive her to Rock Hill. They ran a full diagnostic and sent her home with some pain medicine. Seems like maybe she just hurt her back and the drooling was a reaction to pain, we’re still not sure but she’s fine today. It was only about 200 bucks - so not bad for emergency care and peace of mind.
Jan 18, 2025 · Collins GMailWe highly recommend Carolina Vet Specialists! We had an emergency with our Bulldog while traveling south through the area. The team of staff and doctors were amazing! They were equipped to handle the emergency and they were all knowledgeable, kind and very accommodating. Expert care continued through the night and into the morning. We had prepaid the amount they estimated would be needed for extended care and in the morning, when our pet was stabilized, and could leave, we were credited the amount of over payment. We recommend taking your pet to these sweet, caring people!
Jan 19, 2025 · Liz GisondiI can't say one negative thing about this awesome emergency veterinary clinic. This is our 3 visit. This time our cat broke his leg. From the reception I think her name is Brittany, to Dr. sinclair, and to Dr. Mertens that will.perform surgery on our baby. They made us feel welcomed, they seem to care about your babies, and made us feel at ease. I would like to thank you all again!! I would like to add to this review. My baby had surgery today I CAN NOT say enough about how wonderful this entire place is from the staff, nurses DR'S. They are all so caring and have been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I have aggravated them to death checking on my pet, but they have not once gotten frustrated. Probably when they hang up they are like OMG. LOL! Our family family like to thank you all!!
Feb 18, 2025 · Nicole JenkinsNo one ever wants to have to go to the emergency vet, but I highly recommend this one. They quickly attended to all 3 of my dogs who we brought in for a toxic exposure. Staff and doc were awesome. Very kind and compassionate. Communicated well. Took great care of our four-legged children. We went there today because we had gone there a few years ago for another dog, and we also had a great experience then. Very thankful to have them nearby!
