Took my kitty for her wellness check and needed immunizations and while there, had the techs trim her nails. She did great and I attribute that to the calm gentle care given to my Kiki, whom I adopted 8 months ago. I adopted a feral barn cat that did great. Doc & techs were very caring, gentle and took their time with exam and I believe that why Kiki did so well. Totally impressed with the care given from check in to the time we checked out! Awesome visit. First pic is at adoption 8 mo. ago and the other is what Kiki looks like today 😊

Welcome to Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital

Welcome to Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital, your local dedicated Pet Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, specializing exclusively in the health and well-being of your feline companions. Located at 4810 Old Farm Dr #100, we understand that cats have unique needs and sensitivities, and our entire practice is designed to provide a calm, comfortable, and stress-free environment for your beloved pets. Our commitment is to offer exceptional veterinary care tailored specifically to cats, ensuring they receive the gentle and expert attention they deserve.

At Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike general veterinary clinics that cater to a variety of animals, our focus solely on cats allows us to minimize potential stressors often associated with the presence of other species. Our waiting area is designed with feline comfort in mind, aiming to reduce anxiety and create a peaceful transition for your cat from arrival to examination. The examination rooms are also specifically equipped and arranged to make your cat feel more secure and at ease.

We offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services to address all aspects of your cat's health. Our core services include routine wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of potential health issues. These check-ups involve a thorough physical assessment, allowing our experienced veterinarians to monitor your cat's overall health and provide personalized recommendations for their ongoing care. We also provide essential immunizations to protect your cat from common and potentially serious feline diseases. Our skilled veterinary technicians are also proficient in procedures like nail trims, ensuring your cat's comfort and your peace of mind.

Beyond routine care, Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital is equipped to handle a variety of medical needs. We offer diagnostic services, including laboratory work, to quickly and accurately assess your cat's health status. This allows for prompt diagnosis and the development of effective treatment plans. We also provide treatment for common feline illnesses, such as infections, digestive issues, and skin conditions. For more complex health concerns, our veterinarians have the expertise to manage chronic diseases and provide supportive care.

A key feature of our practice is our commitment to gentle and patient handling. We understand that many cats can be anxious during veterinary visits, and our team is trained in low-stress techniques to ensure a more positive experience. As highlighted in customer reviews, our veterinarians and technicians take their time during examinations, allowing cats to feel more comfortable and secure. The use of calming approaches, such as gentle restraint and a quiet environment, is paramount in our interactions with your feline family members.

Our clients consistently praise our caring and attentive staff. The positive feedback from pet owners underscores our dedication to providing exceptional service from check-in to check-out. Customers have noted the personalized attention their cats receive, with staff members going the extra mile to make even nervous patients feel more at ease. For instance, one reviewer mentioned how the team uses toys and treats to create a more enjoyable experience for their anxious cat, even offering to send treats home. This level of individualized care demonstrates our commitment to understanding and addressing each cat's unique temperament and needs.

Convenience is also a priority for our clients. Located at 4810 Old Farm Dr #100 in Colorado Springs, our facility is easily accessible for local residents. One reviewer specifically mentioned the convenience of our location, making it less of a burden to bring their cat in for appointments. We also understand the importance of timely communication, and clients appreciate our promptness with lab work results, which are often emailed directly to them for added convenience.

While we strive to accommodate all our patients' needs promptly, we also understand that unforeseen health issues can arise, sometimes outside of regular business hours or leading into weekends. In such situations, as mentioned by one reviewer who faced a holiday weekend eye infection, we are committed to providing alternative options and guidance to ensure your cat receives the necessary care as quickly as possible. While we aim to be your primary veterinary care provider, we recognize the importance of offering solutions when immediate access to our clinic might be limited.

Choosing a veterinarian who specializes in cats offers numerous benefits. Our focused expertise means we have a deeper understanding of feline-specific diseases, behaviors, and nutritional requirements. This specialization allows us to provide more targeted and effective care. As one reviewer noted, going to a cat-only vet seems to put their cat more at ease, even without other feline siblings at home. This suggests that the dedicated environment contributes to a less stressful experience for many cats.

In summary, Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital in Colorado Springs is a dedicated Pet Hospital committed to providing exceptional and compassionate veterinary care exclusively for cats. Our calm environment, comprehensive services – including wellness exams, immunizations, nail trims, diagnostics, and treatment for illnesses – and our gentle, patient-centered approach make us the ideal choice for your feline companion's health needs. We pride ourselves on our caring staff, convenient location, and commitment to ensuring a positive experience for both you and your cat. We invite you to experience the difference of specialized feline veterinary care at Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital. We’ve been coming here since we adopted our fur baby, Henry. He hates coming here, but he gets a dose of gabapentin now before his yearly exam and does much better. They even bring in toys and treats to make his visit more enjoyable even though he wants nothing to do with any of it. But we got to take his treat home on our most recent visit and he enjoyed later that afternoon. The doctors love everything about him and his moo cow pattern. They are located a mile from where we live so it makes taking him not too much of a chore. There was one time we needed to take him in for what turned out to be an eye infection, but since it was so close to a holiday weekend we couldn’t get him in before the weekend. They gave us other options to get him in quicker, but this will remain our primary vet. It’s so nice going to a vet that just deals with cats, I think that makes Henry more at ease even though he doesn’t have other fur siblings. We get brought back to a room pretty much right away, there is never usually a wait like at a human doctor’s office. They are prompt with lab work results and even e-mail the results to you. -The Wrights

Carefree Cats has been my boy’s first primary vet, and due to this he’s extremely shy and timid. But the team is always so patient, sweet, and caring towards him! Dr. Dominguez was his vet for the day, and she was very kind and thorough with his general examination/diagnosis! Thank you to her and her wonderful team!!

Our Grayjjoy has been a patient at 'Carefree' for several years... Recently he developed an eye infection and Dr. Dominguez saw him right away. After a week of antibiotic eye drops, he's Happily back to normal...!! THANK YOU Carefree🐱

When we first arrived in C-Springs we had one cat, but steadily adopted two more. There was a veterinarian just down the street, but we soon realized that the clientele were all dog owners, and that only one member of the staff worked with cats as a side project! So I got online and looked solely for cat vets. Bingo: Carefree Cats was the answer! They are wonderful, centrally located, and have been there for all three of our cats over the past two years--including life-threatening conditions. High praise for Carefree Cats
