I will never be able to say enough wonderful things about this place and the staff. My baby girl Prima is very skiddish defensive and scared. Dr. Jill and staff have been seeing her for about 4.5 years now. The way they treat my baby is absolutely amazing. She gets so much love and patience when we go there. I appreciate every single person here more than words. They take such wonderful care of my baby and give her so much love. I am thankful everyday I was recommended to go here. I would never go anywhere else. So grateful for all of you and your huge hearts and all you do everyday to care for peoples pets. Our babies.

Welcome to Caldwell Veterinary Clinic, David Caldwell, DVM & Dr. Jill Boucek (Caldwell)

For over 45 years, Caldwell Veterinary Clinic, led by Dr. David Caldwell, DVM, and joined by his daughter, Dr. Jill Boucek, has been a cornerstone of veterinary care in New Brighton, PA, and the surrounding communities. Operating as a dedicated "Pet Hospital," this clinic, located at 509 5th Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066, USA, has built a sterling reputation for its compassionate, personalized approach to animal health. Pet owners can reach them at (724) 843-4269 or +1 724-843-4269 for appointments and inquiries.

The clinic's long-standing presence in the community, coupled with glowing testimonials from long-term clients, speaks volumes about the quality of care and the deep relationships they foster. Many clients, some for over 36 years, attest to the "fantastic" and "so caring" nature of both Dr. David and Dr. Jill. This enduring trust is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the well-being of their animal patients.

Environment

Caldwell Veterinary Clinic is distinguished by its intimate and welcoming environment, a direct result of its design as a small, family-oriented practice. Unlike larger, more impersonal facilities, the clinic prides itself on providing a "personalized experience" where deep, trusting relationships are built between the staff, pet owners, and their animals. This personalized approach is crucial for pets, especially those who might be timid or anxious, as noted by a client whose "skittish, defensive, and scared" baby girl, Prima, receives "so much love and patience" during her visits. The warm and friendly demeanor of the entire staff ensures that each pet is treated "as if they were our own," creating a comfortable and reassuring atmosphere for both animals and their human companions. This familial atmosphere fosters a sense of security and trust, which is invaluable for consistent and effective veterinary care.

Services

Caldwell Veterinary Clinic offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, primarily focusing on the health and well-being of dogs and cats. While Dr. David Caldwell initially practiced large animal medicine, the clinic now primarily serves companion animals, particularly in the evenings and on weekends when Dr. David sees patients. Their service philosophy is rooted in preventative medicine and client education, aiming to partner with pet owners to ensure their pets lead the longest, healthiest, and happiest lives possible.

Their core services encompass vital aspects of pet care:

  • Wellness and Preventive Care: This includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, and parasite prevention. Regular wellness exams are crucial for early detection of health issues and for maintaining optimal pet health through all life stages. Vaccinations protect pets from common and often serious diseases, forming a cornerstone of their preventive approach.

  • Medical Services: The clinic provides thorough diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of pet illnesses and conditions. While specific diagnostic tools like in-house labs or imaging are not explicitly detailed, a comprehensive veterinary practice of this nature would typically offer such capabilities or utilize external laboratories for diagnostics to accurately identify and address pet health concerns.

  • Surgical Services: Caldwell Veterinary Clinic performs various surgical procedures, although specific types of surgeries are not detailed. Standard surgical offerings in a general practice typically include spaying, neutering, and minor soft tissue surgeries. The clinic's commitment to comprehensive care suggests they are equipped to handle a range of common surgical needs for their canine and feline patients.

  • Dental Care: Maintaining good oral hygiene is critical for a pet's overall health, and Caldwell Veterinary Clinic provides dental services to address and prevent dental diseases.

  • Emergency & Critical Care: While not a 24/7 emergency hospital, general veterinary clinics typically offer services for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions during their operating hours. For after-hours emergencies, they would usually guide clients to referral emergency centers.

The clinic's long-standing presence and the dual expertise of Dr. David Caldwell and Dr. Jill Boucek ensure that pets receive knowledgeable and consistent care, benefiting from decades of combined experience in the field.

Features

Several distinctive features make Caldwell Veterinary Clinic a preferred choice for pet owners in New Brighton, PA:

  • Generational Expertise and Continuity of Care: The presence of both Dr. David Caldwell, with his extensive experience since 1973, and his daughter, Dr. Jill Boucek, who joined in 2007, provides unparalleled continuity of care. This family-run practice fosters a deep understanding of their patients' histories and needs, a rare and invaluable asset. Clients often mention the comfort of knowing that both veterinarians are "fantastic" and consistently provide excellent care, having seen their pets for many years, in some cases over three decades.

  • Highly Personalized and Compassionate Approach: This is perhaps the most frequently lauded feature. The clinic prides itself on treating each pet as if they were their own, a sentiment echoed by numerous client testimonials. The staff's "huge hearts" and the "love and patience" they extend, even to anxious or defensive animals, create a uniquely supportive and low-stress environment. This compassionate care builds immense trust and loyalty, making visits less stressful for both pets and their owners.

  • Strong Client Relationships and Trust: The clinic's philosophy emphasizes developing close relationships with clients. This is not merely transactional; it's about partnership in pet healthcare. Clients express profound gratitude and loyalty, often stating they "would never go anywhere else." This level of trust is built on consistent positive experiences and the visible dedication of the entire team.

  • Focus on Preventive Medicine and Client Education: Caldwell Veterinary Clinic takes a proactive stance on pet health. They aim to educate pet owners, empowering them to make informed decisions about their pets' care. This focus on preventive measures helps ensure pets live longer, healthier lives by addressing potential issues before they become severe.

  • Small Practice Advantage: Being a smaller practice allows them to maintain a highly personalized touch. This translates to more individualized attention for each pet, more time for client communication, and a generally calmer environment, which can be particularly beneficial for nervous animals.

Promotional Information

While specific, time-limited promotional offers are not detailed, Caldwell Veterinary Clinic's promotional emphasis appears to be rooted in its core values: long-term, compassionate care and building lasting relationships. Their primary "promotion" is the promise of exceptional, personalized service that has kept clients returning for decades.

  • Commitment to Long-Term Relationships: The clinic's enduring presence and the generational involvement of the Caldwell family implicitly promote a commitment to long-term pet health. This is a significant draw for pet owners seeking a consistent and trusted veterinary partner throughout their pet's life.

  • Word-of-Mouth Referrals: The strong testimonials and high recommendations from existing clients serve as the most powerful form of promotion. When a client states, "I am thankful everyday I was recommended to go here. I would never go anywhere else," it speaks volumes about the clinic's quality and care, organically attracting new clients.

  • Emphasis on Preventative Care: By focusing on preventative medicine and client education, the clinic promotes the long-term health and well-being of pets. While not a discount, investing in preventive care often saves pet owners money in the long run by preventing more costly illnesses down the line.

  • Family-Oriented Care: The family-run nature of the clinic (father and daughter veterinarians) fosters a welcoming and caring atmosphere that extends to the entire staff. This "family" environment is a key promotional aspect, appealing to pet owners who value a personal touch and a genuine bond with their veterinary care providers.

In summary, Caldwell Veterinary Clinic, David Caldwell, DVM & Dr. Jill Boucek, embodies the essence of a dedicated "Pet Hospital" that prioritizes compassionate, personalized, and enduring care. With a history spanning over 45 years, a warm and inviting environment, comprehensive services for dogs and cats, and a unique generational approach to veterinary medicine, they stand as a highly recommended and trusted choice for pet owners in New Brighton, PA, and beyond. Their most compelling promotion is their consistent delivery of exceptional care, fostering loyalty and peace of mind for those who consider their pets cherished family members.

Tempted to quit going here. They discriminate on disabled pet owners and give us a hard time for struggling with transportation or money. Some people struggle that doesnt make us bad pet parents. My boy gets his meds, food, water, and tons of love. I have to work around a one month pay and rely on my family to help me with transport.

I love this clinic. No matter who checks you in, or which tech or vet you see, regardless of the challenge your pet is having, they are all so thoughtful and caring. They know your name, your pets name, make suggestions on a path forward, etc. They actually follow up too and make sure your pet is doing well if a procedure occurs. We are thankful for this practice.
