Zero stars. Do not take your animal to this place. I took my 4 year old dog here and they told me that my dog had IVDD a spinal cord disease. They wanted a down payment of $6,000. They suggested he have an MRI the very next day and said he would need spine surgery that may or may not solve the problem. When I asked to just have my dog made comfortable for the night they were rude and a tech came in with my dog and said, “here’s your dog, he’s good, you can leave.” His response was rather shocking and rude considering my dog was not good! They also failed to medicate my dog until right as I was leaving, and my dog was in pain for a good two hours before he was comfortable at home and able to relax and rest. The next day, I took my dog to an animal Hospital that my family recommended and my dog does not have a Spinal cord disease. The vet was careful to do non-invasive treatment and treat what she believed was an injury. After coming home for a few days on her treatment plan my dog is completely fine. If I would’ve listened to these insensitive vets at Bright care my dog would’ve gone through unnecessary treatment and surgery and I would’ve been out between $6,000 to $8000 as per the quote they gave me. Do not take your animals to this place.

Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at BrightCare Animal ER appear to vary significantly. One reviewer recounts a highly negative experience where their four-year-old dog was diagnosed with IVDD (a spinal cord disease) and quoted a $6,000 down payment for potential surgery. This reviewer felt the staff was rude when they requested to make their dog comfortable for the night. They also noted a delay in pain medication administration. Subsequently, this pet owner sought a second opinion at another animal hospital, where their dog was diagnosed with an injury and recovered fully with non-invasive treatment, costing significantly less. This reviewer strongly advises against taking animals to BrightCare Animal ER.

Another recent review expresses disappointment with a perceived decline in the business's standards. While the reviewer had a positive experience with a senior pet a few years prior, their recent visit with a dog experiencing diarrhea resulted in a quoted cost of $1,700 for diagnostics, with a recommendation for further hospitalization at an even higher cost. The front desk staff was described as "very short" with "awful bedside manner." This pet owner ultimately went to their regular vet the next day, where the total cost was only $200. This reviewer also left feeling disheartened by their experience at BrightCare Animal ER.

Given these recent reviews, it is challenging to provide an objective overview of the environment and typical services based solely on this feedback. The reviews raise concerns about diagnostic accuracy, cost of care, and bedside manner. Potential users should consider these recent experiences when evaluating BrightCare Animal ER for their pet's emergency needs.

Rarely write poor reviews but I am very disappointed in the turn that this business has taken. I took my senior pit bull here a few years ago and had a great experience. Unfortunately, I took my current dog in at 3am last night for diarrhea and the front desk was very short and had awful bedside manner (stating we give him “terrible food” and he is “super old”). The vet was more friendly and knowledgeable but ended up getting quoted $1,700 for diagnostics and they were recommending to hospitalize him for even more. I left feeling disheartened and stressed that I would be in huge financial distress. However, thank god I went to my normal vet the next day and it cost only $200 for everything!

ZERO STARS. Do not take your pets here. I took my young dog here to get fluids. She was there for 24 hours and during that time got three completely different diagnosis that ranged from she's fine to she has days to live. This place will order unnecessary tests that are extremely expensive, and still not be able to diagnose your pet correctly. When I went to see her, they wouldnt bring her to me until I had paid my Vet bill, where they tried to charge me for a euthanization when my dog was still alive. The front desk employees are unsympathetic to your animals heath, and ignore you so they can laugh together and watch YouTube videos. I took her to a different Vet hospital to get a second opinion where they were able to diagnose her just by looking at her symptoms and put her on the proper medication, unlike brightcare that needed thousand dollar tests which included MRIS, biopsies, and Surgeries. If you care about your animals and don't want to be scammed please go somewhere else.

My dog was here twice on 2 different occasions. One for when she fell into diabetic ketoacidosis and the next for pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs). Both times I was confident in the treat my girl received. Unfortunately the 2nd visit I had her transferred to my regular veterinary where we decided it was her time. I’m glad for Dr. Nguyen and staff for over seeing my girl and taking such good care of her.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. How they are even still open I don’t know but DO NOT come here by any means they already have their hand in your pocket before you even step foot through that door. They charge $97 for an “exam fee” & couldn’t even tell me what was wrong with my kitty. I brought him in because of an allergic reaction & 3 minutes later they come to me with an $800 bill to tell me he needed a catheter, injections, x-rays etc. all while they didn’t even know what was going on. (Never even examined him) I just heard him yowling in the back, scared & distressed. The doctor told me my cat was “not okay & in critical condition” and that taking him home was simply not an option bcuz of his condition. I asked if there was anything they could do, but unfortunately since I couldn’t afford the bill I had no choice but to take him home as they said they couldn’t even explore any further issues without me coughing up that money. We went home, gave him plenty of food water and rest & here we are over 3 days later & he’s his happy normal self as if nothing happened. In fact he had been fine since the moment we got him out of there. Throwing around the term critical condition when you don’t even know what you’re looking at is simply not okay & just prays on peoples fear of already losing their beloved fur babies. I could go on & on but this place simply is not worth the energy & i sincerely hope they never have to deal with any animal in actual distress because I just couldn’t imagine having to suffer the loss of both paying those unnecessary costs of bills & losing your loved one to negligence.
