Scheduled for a specific shot. Gave them my dog age on the phone. And they took my deposit. Fast forward to the appointment they said they have to give her the rabies shot. Fine but why wasn't this disclosed on the phone? Couldn't get the shot I originally planned for because I didn't anticipate paying for TWO shots. They need better training of the receptionist. Didn't great me and barely acknowledged me. Also google is wrong - they do not have Apple Pay.

Bridgeton Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to Bridgeton Animal Hospital, a pet hospital located at 3148 McKelvey Rd in Maryland Heights, MO 63044. As a local pet hospital, Bridgeton Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary care services to the community. Based on the available customer reviews, the hospital is recognized for its compassionate approach, particularly in sensitive situations, but there are also areas where some customers have experienced challenges.
While the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the environment of Bridgeton Animal Hospital, a typical pet hospital includes a reception area, examination rooms, and potentially surgical suites, diagnostic imaging areas, and in-house laboratory facilities. The goal of such a setup is to provide a safe and functional space for delivering veterinary medical care to animals.
The services offered at Bridgeton Animal Hospital can be inferred from the customer experiences. One review mentions scheduling for a "specific shot" and later being informed that a rabies shot was also necessary, suggesting that vaccinations are among the services provided. The fact that a deposit was taken for the appointment indicates a standard practice for certain procedures or appointments.
The most striking aspect highlighted in the reviews is the compassionate care provided by the staff, particularly during end-of-life situations. One heartfelt testimonial states, "They are the most compassionate, caring people I have ever met. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Lucy as she crossed the rainbow bridge I recommend that Vet practice to everyone and thank Dr and staff for making Lucy Comfortable in her last minutes. I will never use another Vet. Thank you so much once again thank you." This powerful statement underscores a significant strength of Bridgeton Animal Hospital: their ability to provide comfort and support to both pets and their owners during incredibly difficult times. This level of compassion can be a crucial factor for pet owners facing the loss of a beloved animal.
However, the reviews also point out areas where improvements may be needed. One customer reported a lack of clear communication regarding required vaccinations, leading to unexpected costs at the time of the appointment. This suggests a potential issue with the thoroughness of information provided during the scheduling process. Ensuring clear and comprehensive communication about all necessary procedures and associated costs is essential for building trust and avoiding misunderstandings with clients.
Another review raises concerns about the training and attentiveness of the receptionist, noting a lack of greeting and acknowledgement upon arrival. The reviewer also pointed out inaccurate information on Google regarding payment methods, specifically the absence of Apple Pay. These issues highlight the importance of front office staff training in customer service and the need for accurate online information to manage client expectations and ensure a positive first impression.
Given these reviews, it is likely that Bridgeton Animal Hospital offers a range of general veterinary services beyond vaccinations and end-of-life care. These typically include routine wellness examinations, parasite prevention (flea, tick, and heartworm control), and treatment for various illnesses and injuries. Depending on their facilities and staffing, they may also offer surgical services, dental care, and diagnostic procedures.
The features of Bridgeton Animal Hospital seem to include a compassionate and caring team, particularly noted for their handling of euthanasia. However, there may be inconsistencies in communication and front office customer service. Ensuring all staff members are well-trained in both veterinary care and client communication is crucial for a positive overall client experience.
The discrepancy regarding the rabies shot and the initial appointment plan suggests that while the veterinary staff may be competent in providing medical care, there could be gaps in the administrative processes, particularly in relaying information to clients beforehand. This could be an area for the hospital to review and improve to enhance client satisfaction.
The positive review regarding compassionate end-of-life care indicates that Bridgeton Animal Hospital prioritizes the comfort and dignity of animals in their final moments, which is a deeply valued service for many pet owners. This suggests a strong ethical and emotional commitment from the veterinary team.
There is no information provided in the reviews regarding any specific promotional offers or new client specials at Bridgeton Animal Hospital. To inquire about any current promotions, such as discounts on initial wellness exams or vaccination packages, it is best to contact the hospital directly at (314) 291-7220 or +1 314-291-7220. Their staff will be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information on any special offers and their current service offerings.
In conclusion, Bridgeton Animal Hospital in Maryland Heights, MO, appears to be a veterinary practice that is deeply appreciated for its compassionate and caring approach, especially during end-of-life care. However, potential clients should be aware of the feedback regarding communication during appointment scheduling and front office customer service. While the medical care provided may be of a high standard, ensuring clear communication and efficient administrative processes are essential for a positive overall client experience. If compassionate care is a top priority, particularly during difficult times, Bridgeton Animal Hospital may be a suitable choice, but it is advisable to clarify all aspects of services and costs upfront.

Jan 12, 2024 · Julie SolimaLove this vet. Amazing care for our two mini dachshunds at a very reasonable rate. Dr and staff are top notch
Feb 13, 2025 · Stephanie DrillingWe took our cat to this vet after he was displaying several new and odd behaviors that indicated some sort of urinary issue. We had a wait of over thirty minutes before we were seen for our scheduled appointment. The male Vet who saw us, spent less than 5 minutes in the room and dismissed our claims as simple “behavior issues” and did not even physically examine him in the room. He did not investigate the issue any further other than taking a urine sample for a urinalysis. He said he would call the following day with results. He never called us the day he said he would. In fact, we learned he went on vacation the day he was supposed to call us and no one followed up. That same day, our cat’s condition got worse and he displayed even more and much worse symptoms indicating some sort of urinary issue. We took several images and videos of our cat’s behavior and emailed them in to his staff and asked for help as there was clearly something wrong. We took him back the following day and were seen by a female vet who was much kinder and apologetic for the behavior of the male vet. After she examined our cat, she determined that he was in need of emergency care and she sent us to a vet hospital nearby and after some observation, they determined he needed surgery as his urinary tract was being blocked by bladder crystals, which we were told was very common in male cats. Though somehow not common enough for the gentleman at this establishment to even consider informing us of. He simply dismissed us and overall spent about $6k on vet bills that could have been reduced if we were given the time of day by the gentleman who should have done his job that we paid him to do. I recommend trusting your animals and money elsewhere.
Oct 09, 2024 · Kegan SummersTerrible quality service, over 30% more expensive than all nearby vets, long wait times for routine appointments, rude staff, and generally incompetent book keeping. My cat was diagnosed with a urinary issue after 800$ worth of unnecessary testing, and now I’ve been told my prescription will not be refilled unless I do that again for the food he was prescribed. Other vet I took him to was shocked to hear all of this. Don’t waste your money or your pet’s life at this scam shack.
