Bridgeport Animal Hospital

I have scheduled for 10 animals to get spayed neutered and vaccinated with Bridgeport Animal Hospital it has been 2 weeks and I have yet to receive a phone call back even though I have touch base with them several times for a hard number of a price, and if the doctor is willing to work with me for a price adjustment since I have so many animals I have taken in from outside in the city of Saginaw. It's been 2 weeks since I made the initial appointment the receptionist said she would talk to the doctor, he did not get a hold of back of me within a week I called yesterday the receptionist again said that the doctor would personally call me later that afternoon he never did. Now it's Saturday again and I don't know what to do. I have been waiting two weeks now for a hard number of what the price is going to be to fix these 10 animals the doctor at Bridgeport Animal Hospital is very hard to communicate with it seems his staff does not communicate with each other about what is going on and they certainly aren't willing to work with any kind of income when people are bringing in. To get all of my animals spayed neutered and vaccinated that I had taken in from outside is going to be over $2,500 according to the doctor at Bridgeport Animal Hospital. The fact that the staff has not called me back in 2 weeks even though I've been told multiple times they will and the doctor has not talked to me personally in all of this time that I have been trying to figure this out I think I would much rather have my money go elsewhere to somebody who seems to have a little more compassion for the people around him and the Animals he takes care for.

I took my cane corso puppy here and had his ears cropped. I loved the staff so much that I choose to drive the hour to have his shots and everything else done! They are very quick at getting you an appointment. They are great at answering questions and explaining things to you. The girls that work there are very passionate and great with your fur baby!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a vet. If you are considering coming here for a c-section for your female- DO NOT DO IT. Firstly, they don't schedule their c sections for when your girl is in labor. They prefer to do it days early. I am experienced enough to know my breeding days and when she should be due. The person scheduling her c section insisted on a day so early, I should have gotten a second opinion. But they assured me they've done it many times and that their math was good. All the puppies died. No one survived. The doctor was meeting with business associates during her surgery, it was bizarre. Lastly. Her incision sight looks like a crime scene, 12 days later. She is still bleeding from the wound, and I am starting to see inside of her stomach area. She will be going to another vet to close the incision. We care deeply about our girl, and her aftercare is taken very seriously. This is not the result of poor hygiene or too much movement, this was a BOTCHED SURGERY. BEWARE.

I have used Dr. Gill for the last 30 years. We moved and decided to take our new pup somewhere else. Biggest mistake I could have ever made. Got my doberman's ears cropped elsewhere she got an infection after that vet posted her ears. I decided I was calling our old vet. Dr. Gill got me in right away not only did he post her ears, he explained very thoroughly how to do it myself. I was stressed about posting her ears. The first time I did it, my pup had it out within an hour. Dr. Gill charged me $11 to post her ears. The other vet charged me $65. I am so grateful for him. He has no idea.

I took my 7 month old puppy here after she was hurt playing with one of the older dogs. First the doc came in and acted like her was afraid of her because she’s a pit bull mix, but he did the exam after telling me to hold her head and said she didn’t need x-rays, but he wanted to give her a shot for pain so I said ok. He went out of the room and a few mins later came back and told me my total would be $99 and some change and I was like ok that is fine and he left again and came back a few mins later with 2 shots one for Rimadyl and the other for Butorphanol. He told me to hold her tight so I did and he gave her the first shot she was fine then the 2nd she jumped a little bit and he jumped backwards like she just try to attack him or something. Then he told us we were set to go check out so when I got to the counter to check out the lady told me $199.75 and when I told her the vet had told me only $99 she was very rude. When we got home a few mins later my puppy couldn’t walk I had to carry her into the house. When we got in the house she was very lethargic shivering and very shallow breathing. Come to find out the one shot is a sedative which I was not informed of and didn’t give permission to be given to my puppy. I am not happy with the way things were done and being charged double what I was told.
