Everyone was very caring and helpful. Took my pup of 9 yrs for an extraction with sedation and they went through all preop steps necessary to make sure it was safe for her, they refer to your dog as your baby which I thought to be a sweet and caring thing along with just their overall patience and love for your pet. I will definitely go back again

Best experience I've had for my pet's health and well being. The staff and Dr. Metry took great care of my cat Kyoshi! As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with smiles and helped right away! I highly recommend bringing your pet to this hospital!

When I checked my Dog in for her to have Spayed procedure they weighed her on floor scale in front of office, she weighed 46lbs. I was happy since 50lbs and over is higher price range. When I picked her up after procedure I was told they had weighed her on scale in the back and she weighed 52lbs. So the price they had quoted me was 250 went up to 399.99!!! They new that scale was not working properly they could have honored add price they first quoted but never did!! I feel like this can be a pattern to trick customers on higher price. Anyone experience this situation? Please post if so. Thank you . I’m so Glad my Baby is home safe🙏🏼

Our primary vet was on vacation so I brought my small dog in because she was pacing every night and hadn't slept for a few nights. They ran bloodwork and mentioned that her liver enzymes were high, the doctor asked if there were any recent changes to our household and the only thing I could think of was that we had been on vacation the week before. She wrote it off as anxiety and prescribed a sedative to help her relax. Well the sedative knocked her out for 2 days! I called back the next day to ask if this was normal and they said absolutely not and to discontinue the meds. A few days later once the drugs were out of my dogs system she began pacing again all night long and not sleeping, so I brought her back in because I knew in my gut that this wasn't anxiety. The doctor couldn't figure out why she was doing this so she suggested I get a head x-ray to rule out a tumor. My dog was very squirmy so they gave her another sedative to relax her that they promised was not as intense as the previous sedative, well that was far from the truth because she was out cold for another 2 days. The x-ray did not show any signs of a tumor or trauma, so the vet says to me "I think this is just who she is" My dog is 2 years old and has been happy and healthy her whole life. And this definitely not "who she is" they also prescribed gabapentin to see if that would calm her down. They literally just wanted to drug her up instead of finding the root cause of her elevated enzymes and excessive pacing. A few days later we came home to my dog drooling excessively and head pressing I immediately rushed her to an emergency room and told them everything that had been going on, She was diagnosed with hepatic encephalitis and was on the verge of liver failure, which is why her liver enzymes were high! Not because that is "who she is". She was dying! My biggest issue is the head x-ray, the emergency vet said there is no way to tell if a tumor is present from an x-ray that only a CT scan can rule that out and they don't know why Brea Regional would order that. So not only did the vet at Brea Regional dismiss my dogs liver failure they scammed me out of $1000.00 for something that wasn't necessary! Do not bring your fur babies here it could cost them their lives!
