I take my 1year old Ragdoll cat to Blair’s Ferry Pet Hospital for all exams, spay, vaccinations and boarding. Our experience has been good up until today at pickup time. After I settled the bill and was waiting for my cat to be brought out Dr Streeper met me in the lobby and informed me that my cat had a “rough stay” this time. I was puzzled and asked what she meant. Dr began describing how my cat was fine on drop off day which was Thursday but by the weekend started displaying aggression towards the staff to the point they had to use gloves in order to handle her. I began asking questions as to what she thought could have caused this and what could be done next time beforehand to ensure a successful stay. Dr. Streeper was not helpful at all and offered no advice or counseling concerning this unusual behavior, in fact she advised me they are unwilling to board my cat again. If there had been problems from the start I could understand but there have been none so I’m feeling that something occurred to cause this behavior being described. As they were preparing to bring her out I could heart her crying from the back of the building, once she arrived to me she was circling around in her carrier and still crying out. I am leaving this review for other kitty parents and we will be parting ways with Blair’s Ferry Pet Hospital.

Apr 18, 2025 · Karen BowmasterDr. Streeper and her team are very kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Always there to help on short notice if my dog is having trouble. Routine checkups are always a breeze and the team takes the time to explain and address any concerns that I have. My dog doesn’t mind the vet when we go to Blairs Ferry Pet Hospital.
Aug 22, 2024 · Alex KloiberWent with my 16 year old cat in October to see why he was losing weight. I suggested hyperthyroidism since the symptoms were consistent with that. The doctor proceeded to tell me he has fluid in his body cavity and suggested putting him down. When I asked to go home and think about my options and come back next week the doctor said, "He won't make it to next week " Obviously, we didn't decide to put him down and opted for an x-ray and potentially extracting the fluid. Once the x-ray was performed, it was determined he didn't have fluid. We are confident that they would have put him down without evening confirming to have fluid if we didn't insist. We eventually we to a different vet, they ran blood work and determined he has hyperthyroidism. Overall, my cat that "wouldn't make it to next week" has been alive and well 6 months later. Also, I had another cat go to this clinic for teeth extraction and they gave him back to me with the catheter still in! Avoid this place please.
Mar 27, 2025 · Mackenzie StoneFront desk is very nice and customer friendly. The actual vets here not so much. Very condescending and arrogant. The service is very passive aggressive. @ Dr.streeper. I have been going here for 3 years and after today I have decided to take my MONEY and pet’s elsewhere.
