The care my dog got there was good. I left the practice because of a stupid policy that they wouldn’t budge. I had to go into the hospital in 2023 and missed taking my dog in for his teeth cleaning. Now I’m punished and can’t get the discount EVER, which is so wrong. He has NEVER missed an appointment since then, but they don’t care about that. I could use the discount being on disability. I’ve spent a lot over there, but whatever. I’ll take my dog somewhere else since that’s how they roll.

Today our shepherd mix had an eye issue in which they worked us in for, diagnosed and got both meds to treat the issue as well as address his pain. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions regarding the diagnosis as well as my dog's nervousness."
Another customer noted, "They are no more expensive than other clinics in the area and will always do their best to work with us on getting our pets in as soon as possible. Thank you Dr. Siems and staff for taking such great care of our pets."

Feb 07, 2025 · Justin DunningOur experience with Big Paws has been consistently positive. We took our previously energetic 13 year-old dog there when she had stopped eating and drinking and had no energy. Within 45 minutes Dr. Siems had blood drawn, done a complete analysis, and diagnosed her with mild pancreatitis. She recommended leaving her for the day so they could do IV treatments and rehydration. We picked her up at 5:30 PM and she was like a different dog. Fingers crossed, but we're so happy we took her to Big Paws. Thank you, Dr. Siems.
Jan 08, 2025 · Dan SowaAll they care avbout is Money. Been going there for a year. I have an old gal and did not want to move her again as she is old. She has been losing weight rapidly and had raw patches on her skin. I called Monday and they could not see her until today. Today my dog had an appointment and we were 10-15 mins late. My dog was really struggling and I did not check the phone and they said they called to tell us we were late. To tell you the truth, I did not call as I was concentrating on my dog and getting her to the vet. When we got there this snarky receptionist said you are a no show. I told her my dog is ill I understand we were late but she was having a hard time. The snark said $68 penalty to be seen. Now I could see if they were busy, I would have been grateful and paid it. However, I swear there was not one other animal being seen. The place was empty. I have waited in their vacant waiting rooms before for over 45 mins and never said I want a discount. In addition the snark said everytime we come from now on we have to pay $58 up front to hold our appointment. What? I have never been late or missed an appointment. I spend $300 to $500 each time I go there. Heck one time time I paid over $1,000 and no surgery or anything extensive was involved. I get it now why their waiting rooms are always empty. They are money grubbers. I am taking my dog to another vet. I told the snark later!
Jan 16, 2025 · Barbara LorenzoMy cat has epilepsy and along with his medication , he is prescribed phenobarbital, which he has been taking for 6 years. The office was s sent a refill request on December 12 and at that time I only had about a weeks worth of pills left. They did not respond to this and then I called on December 14. Spoke to the receptionist who said she was gonna speak to the doctor about refilling it I called Walgreens at 1 o’clock. They did not get the prescription authorization. I then called big paws and they were closed besides them being very expensive. I did get good service there. And did not intend to go with another veterinary service, although the reviews are not so good I’m getting very worried that if they don’t respond by Monday, he may be out of his medication and I don’t know what to do
