The staff is very nice but when I took my puppy to be neutered I asked them to trim his nails and they said no problem we always do. Afterwords they said they forgot but to bring him back and they would make it right. We tried but he was to scared they said he would have to be sedated to do it. I called the day before and was told the estimate was $72 when I got there all the sudden it all changed to $150 and they would waive the nail trim. I explained what I was told and they basically said to bad. I walked out as I am had already spent over $1200 there for neuter, shots, even a DNA test. It's unfortunate that the front end staff is so nice but they rob you. Won't ever go back.

As a local pet owner, finding a trusted partner in your pet's well-being is crucial, and Best Friend's Veterinary Center strives to be that reliable resource within our community.
Operating under the category of a full-service Pet Hospital, Best Friend's Veterinary Center offers a wide array of services designed to address various aspects of your pet's health and wellness. From routine check-ups and preventative care to more complex medical and surgical procedures, the clinic is equipped to handle diverse needs. Understanding the importance of a comfortable and stress-free environment for both pets and their owners, the clinic likely focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere. While specific details about the clinic's ambiance are not explicitly provided in the given information, a positive and caring environment is generally a hallmark of reputable veterinary practices. Cleanliness, organization, and a friendly demeanor from the staff contribute significantly to a pet owner's peace of mind.
The services offered at Best Friend's Veterinary Center are expected to cover essential areas of veterinary medicine. These typically include:
Preventative Care: This cornerstone of animal health involves regular wellness exams, vaccinations tailored to your pet's lifestyle and risk factors, parasite prevention (including heartworm, flea, and tick control), and nutritional counseling. Early detection of potential health issues through routine check-ups can significantly improve outcomes and contribute to a longer, healthier life for your pet.
Diagnostics: When your pet is unwell, accurate diagnosis is paramount. Veterinary hospitals like Best Friend's Veterinary Center are usually equipped with diagnostic tools such as laboratory services (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), imaging technologies (like X-rays), and potentially ultrasound to help identify the underlying cause of illness or injury.
Surgical Services: Many pet hospitals offer a range of surgical procedures, from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries, depending on the expertise and facilities available. The review mentioning a neutering procedure indicates that surgical services are indeed offered at this center.
Dental Care: Oral health is an integral part of a pet's overall well-being. Services may include dental cleanings, extractions, and guidance on at-home dental care to prevent periodontal disease.
Emergency Care: While not explicitly stated, many veterinary centers provide care for urgent medical situations during their operating hours. It's always advisable to confirm their emergency protocols and after-hours care options.
Other Potential Services: Depending on the clinic's resources and Dr. Anderson's specialization, they might also offer services such as microchipping, behavioral counseling, nutritional management for specific health conditions, and end-of-life care, as suggested by one of the customer reviews.
Features that might distinguish Best Friend's Veterinary Center could include the experience and qualifications of Dr. Eric Anderson and the veterinary staff, the use of modern medical equipment, a commitment to continuing education for the team, and a focus on patient comfort and owner communication. The positive review highlights the compassion shown by every member of the staff during a difficult time, emphasizing a feature of empathetic and supportive care. This aspect can be particularly important for pet owners navigating challenging health situations with their animals.
However, it's important to also consider the feedback presented in the other review. This customer expressed dissatisfaction with discrepancies in cost estimates and a perceived lack of follow-through regarding a requested service (nail trim). This review points to potential inconsistencies in communication or administrative processes that prospective clients should be aware of. While one negative experience does not define an entire practice, it underscores the importance of clear communication regarding service costs and ensuring all discussed services are documented and addressed.
Based on the available information, Best Friend's Veterinary Center - Dr Eric Anderson appears to be a local Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary services. The positive feedback regarding compassionate end-of-life care suggests a caring and supportive environment, particularly during sensitive times. Conversely, the negative feedback highlights potential areas for improvement in communication and service delivery. As a local user, it would be prudent to consider both aspects when evaluating this veterinary center for your pet's needs. It may be beneficial to contact the clinic directly to discuss your specific requirements, clarify any concerns about pricing or services, and potentially schedule a preliminary consultation to assess the environment and interact with the staff firsthand.

Aug 12, 2017 · Stephanie WilsonIt was sad that our first visit to Best Friends was to be our Golden Retrievers last. We were traveling and our Golden got very sick. It was the final stage of cancer, but what we experienced at Best Friends from every member of the staff was nothing short of amazing. The compasson they showed to us and our Golden was truely appreciated especially allowing us to be with him to the end. Thank you.
