The doctors at Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic have always taken such amazing care of my dogs from their early years as puppies to their final days. Collectively I have had three dogs with over 22 total years under their care, mostly with Dr. Victoria Knight, but at different times each of the doctors has provided care. You will not find a finer collective of pet care providers.

Awful experience with this office. I have a dog that was in need of a dental exam. After booking an appointment, I was not informed that my dog would be sedated, which I know requires no food past midnight— was never informed of these parameters, which could have been extremely dangerous for my pet. The tech just asked in the morning at drop-off if he had eaten, and informed me as to why they were asking. And speaking of drop-off. My appointment was scheduled for noon. At 7:10am, I received a text message informing me that the dog was due in at 7:45 for drop-off, when that was never mentioned prior, or when making the appointment. When I left my dog, I asked if the procedure had been moved up, or whether my pet would be sedated while waiting the four hours until their actual appointment, since he has anxiety at being left like this, and was told no, that he would be in a kennel waiting, and that the vet wouldn’t be in until noon, which is when my appointment was scheduled. For them to not have informed me about these multiple important issues, and to have suddenly decided that I was to bring him in over four hours prior to his appointment with literally only ten minutes before I would have needed to leave the house is not only completely unprofessional, but unorthodox and not normal from my experiences with other vets. On top of everything, I was told that if a dental cleaning would be required after the examination that he is already sedated for, that they wouldn’t be preforming the procedure due to the need for intubation. Why wouldn’t the dog already be intubated under sedation? And if he wasn’t, why couldn’t he be? To be repeatedly sedating an already anxious animal when everything could be done in a single appointment is irresponsible and dangerous to the animal. The only reason for this would be to maximize charges and extract more money for more appointments. Period. I picked my dog up, and will never be bringing him back to this office. The stress placed upon both me and the animal in this situation is completely unacceptable. Absolutely unprofessional behavior, from start to finish.

Our Rhodesian Lab mix has been a patient here for a long time. In addition to taking great care of all his ailments; they have great systems and processes to make it a good experience for me as well. Called in a script before office hours. Got a text it was ready shortly after open. In 30 seconds, I had picked up the meds, had an email receipt and card on file charged, and back out the door. Would recommend!

We have been taking our dogs here to the previous owner and now the former owner veterinarian for years, and won’t let anyone else touch our dogs anymore. We’ve always had long hair northern breeds whose coats are very sensitive.
