Dr. Moss was amazing and took excellent care of my tiny pup. All of the staff was so friendly and showered my dog with attention and care. I will absolutely be making this our regular veterinary office.

It’s a shame, I used to love this vet office. The Vets used to really care about the animals. I’ve noticed over the years they’ve stopped caring about the animals and started sales pitching. The past few times I’ve gone in I’ve received a lengthy sales pitch on teeth cleaning and been estimated about $2k for it. Each time I’ve gone in was nothing related to teeth (and I’m actually told his teeth aren’t bad) so it’s been odd to hear this pitch every time. Today I went in about an abscess or cyst on my dog’s side. They charged me $88 for the visit itself then wanted to charge almost $300 to send the contents of the draining off for testing. When I told them I couldn’t afford the testing they said there’s no reason to drain it if we don’t test what’s in it. They also told me if they drain it and it comes back he’ll need surgery to remove it which he’ll need to put under for and I might as well get his teeth cleaned while they’re doing that (second sales pitch about teeth cleaning in one visit). What?? All I wanted was for them to drain his cyst and give antibiotics (if needed). They also refused to do a gland expression and told me he didn’t need it despite him scooting and licking a lot. Shame on Bark Ave for pushing procedures that are way out of price range instead of doing what they can affordably to help animals. Oh, they also told me the dog aspirin I give my dog every once in great while (I’m talking once every 3 months or so when his arthritis acts up) is going to kill him and I need to get a prescription from them for it. It’s just wild! Luckily I’ve moved far away from this office and will be finding a new vet that cares about animals and not just about money. Wasted $88 to be told he needs expensive tests and procedures. Just wrong.

The vet services at Bark Avenue were excellent. I am a Canadian and had a very sick little dog. They remedied his situation right away and were very reasonably priced. I have sold my place in Mesa and will not be back on a regular basis.....if I do go to visit and need a vet BARK AVENUE will for sure be my choice. Thanks Dr Carson and staff.

Unfortunately the Hospital/Vet does not give the same quality of customer service and care as the Pet Supply Store and the DayCare and Grooming. We were turned away from our 4:30pm appointment because they said the appointment was scheduled for 4pm. I told them I have a confirmation email stating my appointment time. They asked for screenshots of my email confirmation. After reviewing the Head Vet Tech told us we must reschedule. Although this appointment was only for vaccines so our dog could continue attending BARK AVENUE DOGGY DAYCARE, they refused to try to squeeze us in for the day, even though the office closed two hours later. They offered no remedy and apology that I would have to take PTO again to attend the rescheduled appointment.
