We love BarburVet and all of their staff. Natalie is always very kind and accommodating over the phone, and my pets LOVE Dr. Alexandra. It is very difficult to find someone knowledgeable about bunnies in the area and years ago, Dr. Alexandra helped my bunny recover from stage 4 pneumonia, and another bunny with GI issues! The bunnies will be 7 this fall. I brought my new puppy to Dr. Alexandra and and she was all tail wags because they made a happy positive environment from start to finish. If you care about keeping your pet happy and healthy, I recommend BarburVet!

Aug 29, 2024 · Monica KNew fear-free procedures did wonders for my dog! We’ve been going here for over 4 years and we love it here. Of course my dog has always been a little nervous even though everyone is so nice, but this last visit for a couple vaccines went so smoothly! Xan took the time to get my dog comfortable and relaxed before giving the shots and it was amazing. I’m so happy my dog is a patient here and would recommend this vet to anyone!
Nov 27, 2024 · Caitlin VoI have been bringing my cat in here for years. But looking back, they would up-sale, give her meds she did not need, and in the end told me to euthanize her (she is still alive and doing fine). Three years ago they told me she has arthritis. I took her in for regular shots for 9 months but decided to stop and see if there was a difference in her behavior, there was none, so I stopped using this (it was $70 a month). My cat has had a lump under her leg for a year now and the Dr. kept going back and forth on what to do about it, always saying she needed more tests. I took her in a total of 12 times ($125 per visit) and was told she was too feisty, the tests were inconclusive, or that they would forget to check the lump and wanted me back…Unsurprisingly, she started to lose weight after all of this back and forth and the cancer growing. The doctor told me to consider euthanizing her within 3 days and you better believe she had a price sheet ready for me. My cat is still alive, her weight is stable, and she is going to a vet that does not care more about money than her life. I’m sure the owner will reply to this and become defensive, do yourself a favor and pass on this place. Front desk staff was nice though, but don’t let this fool you like it did me.
Jan 11, 2025 · James ThatcherFriendly staff, genuinely caring to give my cherished pup the most comfortable experience possible. Has been a great experience for problem solving to solve some dietary sensitivities.
May 15, 2024 · Gloria SinghWent in for an international health certificate, which we were assured they could help with, and had a horrible experience. (Ended up going to another clinic we found online that didn't require a third party's help--*update, not actually somewhere we were referred.) * Misinformed vet with poor people skills (Didn't allow pet owners to speak, nor was she willing to listen. Insisted that Turkey was an EU country, even when both owners informed her otherwise. 🤣) * Didn't prepare for the visit properly and had to reschedule us for another trip, causing our pet extra, unnecessary stress. If you are not experienced (yes, we know you sent a pet to Australia once...), you should have told us to go elsewhere from the beginning rather than assuring us you could help--the PDX metro area is huge, so you didn't have to waste our time. * Very welcoming staff, so it's unfortunate to have a vet that treats people terribly * Did waive part of the fee, but I guess that's what you do when a vet is incapable of doing their job because they are "stressed" Overall do not recommend...
