We adopted a pair of kittens through Shelter Angels and this is the vet they work with. They are very nice people, and they took great care of our babies. We would stay with them if they weren't so far of a drive for us!

What kind of vet turns down animals. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone. “We aren’t accepting new patients” my cats got health problems, but sure you’re too full to help. Okay.

Been coming here for 10 years with my pups and always love how my dogs are treated by the Vet Docs and staff. Prices are a wee bit high (hence 4 stars cause I can’t add a half for 4.5), but when it comes to my dogs I hardly complain, because I want them to have the best care possible.

We've gone to this clinic a lot with our rats in the past, and they've always treated them with the utmost respect and care. We recently started bringing our new dog Sophia, and they were just as lovely as always. Attentive to her anxieties and were willing to be patient with her (and us, we're pretty new to this). Kind, knowledgeable staff :)

I recently switched to Bangor Veterinary Clinic, hoping for Doc and staff more interested in the care of patients. With a pet not eating and visibly losing weight fast, I relied on Google Maps individual site reviews and chose Dr. Shorkey at this practice. The reviewers were right on point. While my TNR cat has now been euthanized for probable cancer in her old age, I treasure the excellent care provided both of us at every step along the way. I much appreciated that i was informed from the start of everything the Dr was thinking even when it was painful to hear. I agreed to courses of treatment for possible issues first, which originally showed slow improvement. But over time, regular visits were needed. I did more frequent visits for free waiting room "weight-ins" (pun intended). After only a couple or so weeks, she was losing weight again. The staff were able to get her in right away. With this new development and after several previous oral exams, Tigger probably had oral cancer of a type that was shown to be fatal. The unscheduled sameday euthanasia was extremely sensitive to my grieving. Tigger and I received every possible courtesy without any obvious regard to the schedule. And, I was offered assistance for our later exit at every step along the way. I could not have asked for better care. Oh, by the way, I'm a retired people health professional of many decades. I know good solid heath care when I experience it for me or mine.
