It's a chain. Like any chain - each facility depends on the current employees. I took my dogs here 8(?) years using the wellness plan. I strongly encourage use of the plan that includes dental... costs the amount of a dental cleaning but you pay it in monthly installments. *!!YES!!*, your animals live longer if you keep those teeth clean... especially if you are not brushing them with a toothbrush yourself. Besides being the cost of the dental plan, it includes your vaccines, free exams whenever you want (think of that... take your dog in at the drop of the hat for *free* & then decide if & when & what you want to spend your $$$ on) & other perks. Love your dog? Get the wellness plan. I coupled mine with pet insurance (since pet insurance doesn't cover office visits) & I able to spend 1000s & without it being my 1000s to keep my dog happy & alive to 15. (She was 38 lbs.) About the plan... because I see bad reviews about it... if there's a billing problem, that's corporate. Call them! Sheesh. And, remember, file a dispute with your card company. I started my plans in 2011 & 2012, I believe. (1 in December & 1 the following spring for my other dog.) I got my aunt to get it for her two dogs. I tell people all the time. You *will* have to pay for the year... I still have to pay until December... but when my other dog died, we hadn't used a number of things on the plan, so they did credit some back BECAUSE I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. But if you agreed for the year, you agreed for the year. That's how you're "essentially" paying installments on that teeth cleaning. Anyway... The Banfield at Northern has good & bad doctors. But, again, you're going to experience that at ANY office... but since doctors rotate in & out of Banfield & you can go to *any* Banfield in the entire US, with some effort, you can stumble into a good place with a good doc without spending big money to test them out. My first Banfield doc I trusted & she fell in love with my dogs & took care of them like her own: Dr. Colleen Conway eventually moved to Stonecrest Animal Hospital in Scottsdale. When my shepherd mix needed a splenectomy, I took her to Dr. Conway even though she'd left Banfield. It took a few goes while Banfield was transitioning new docs in, but eventually I found Dr. Gutierrez & Dr. Amanda Clanin who are quite good. Dr. Clanin was my new main vet for a few years. Listen, my attachment to my 15-year-old dog was... abnormal. Truly extreme. So, I get it. Sometimes I was a pain in the @$$ in my desperation to keep her healthy on a budget. I didn't blindly believe the vets because, frankly, I've stumbled onto a lot of veterinarians that were crap. But Dr. Gutierrez & Dr. Clanin do not try to push *extra* & they truly cared for my dog. The WHOLE staff doted on her which made me comfortable leaving her with them. I knew they always give her the best. They drew hearts & paw prints on her bags of take home meds. It was kind & thoughtful. There is a vet there - Dr. Sanders. I don't remember anything about her except that I didn't trust her & refused to see her again. I forgot her, but she put crappy notes about me in their files. Whatever. I am certain she was covering her own rear &, personally, I was 100% about the best care for my pet. As long as she didn't harm my girl, live & let live. Hopefully she's better with other people's animals & she's welcome to put crappy notes about me in my file as long as my dog gets excellent care. There is a fill-in doctor who is amazing - Dr. Emad Abd El Nour. If you find him, he's pretty awesome. This is a man who truly focuses on your pet 100%. I think he's at the Christown Banfield most, but he covers the whole valley doing relief for Banfield vets. He covered for Dr. Clanin while she was on maternity leave. He was awesome. Loved him. So, if you might move or travel, there are pluses to a Banfield vet &, like any office, you're going to have to look for a vet you believe in as well as techs you trust. The ones I liked I found at Banfield on Northern & 59th Ave. I think you should give them a try.

My dog, Rocco actually loves coming here. His medical & dental insurance plan is about $30 a month. My medical & dental insurance is a bit more and the receptionist never tells me I'm a good boy.

Been going for years. Dogs love there visits no stress atmosphere. Lots of parking and well lit. Covid protocols are in full force here. Very clean area. Staff is beyond amazing. Well priced and they treat your pets like family. Lots of product as well. Service and instruction pamphlets available. Plenty of space.
