I love the staff at Arvada West! They are always so thoughtful and caring for my pets. My dog loves stopping at the front desk for her treat from Linda at reception. They also send report cards home after drop off appointments that my kids love hanging on the fridge.

I have tried to give Banfield the benefit of the doubt and take both my animals there since adopting them. Over 2 years now. However, just today is I fear the last straw. At this most recent visit, I was told I would be called after an initial consultation by the vet with my dog to be told, which advanced tests they needed to perform for his eye problems. I was told that if all 3 tests were needed. The total would be 220. I asked if I would get that call to sign off on getting those tests and was told 'yes'. I did not receive a call until 4 o'clock in the afternoon, when all 3 tests had been performed. Without consent. It turns out he just had conjunctivitis, which is what I originally asked them to check him for without needing to run any other tests because I couldn't afford all 3. Not only did I have to pay for all 3 tests that were completely unnecessary, but they also added on the fee for the prescription instead of asking if I wanted to get it through my chewy subscription which would have saved me 45 additional dollars. When asking for clarification at checkout, I was just told there was nothing that could be done. I will never take my animals to Banfield again. I am positive I can find capable veterinary offices that will fully disclose and communicate appropriately with me before charging to run a series of unnecessary tests on my animals. For God's sake! The car dealership calls and gets permission before doing anything on my car. I would expect no less with my animals.

I have visited here a few times over the years but had an exceptional visit today! My cat was experiencing some constipation and the front desk helped me schedule an appointment to ensure we had adequate time for sedation and diagnostics. The vet assistant Gwen was wonderful during our intake - a great listener, answered all of our questions and relayed all information clearly between us and the vet. Dr. Pathak kept us updated multiple times throughout his stay and as all the labs came back. We collaborated on a treatment plan that ensured the best quality of care for my cat and our budget. She even called back same day with radiograph results to give us an extra peace of mind to end the day. I can’t thank the front desk, Gwen and Dr. Pathak enough for the amazing care they provided us today!!! 😸

Arvada West Banfield is the only place I will take my pet. I still have one, but my Sassypants had to be Euthanized Dec. 20, 2024. Everyone was so compassionate. I don't know what I would have done Without Dr. Chavez and Dr. Pathak that day. My baby girl had a GranMal seizure during to a tumor on her pancreas. They both rushed to her aid as I fell apart. I spent some time talking to Dr. Chavez as she is my main Vet. Then we added Dr. Pathak and the Practice Manager, Courtney Asher. I had to make a very hard decision and didn't want her to suffer. Their Support was what I needed along with their Compassion. Thank you all for the best care she could have gotten at the end.

I really appreciate how the vet took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns about my pet. I also felt confident that my pet was in good hands throughout the appointment and the staff was incredibly friendly.
