Title: IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF DOG, DON'T BE A VET! Dr. Michelle Nicole Shutts 1. I made an appointment and tried to find a vet to deal with my dog's allergy problem. The symptom had not been cured or even under controlled after several hospital trips. So I went to the other Banfield. 2. I brought my dog in, and the vet tried to do exam on him, my dog just headed up and the vet immediately said: He wants to bite me! He need a muzzle! I was like: what? No! He wasn't! But the vet just ignore what I said and brought the muzzle out of the drawer. 3. When my dog saw the muzzle, he was so scared of it. TI highly suspect that the drop off service, they probably just use muzzle on my dog (or even every dog!) for every visit! 4. I said to the vet: I can hold my dog, he will not bite you, he just feel insecure. The vet refused and said rudely: if your dog bite you, you probably ask us to take the liability. I was like: no, I won't! But the vet still forced my dog to wear the muzzle! 5. I felt so bad at that time, one for myself not being a good dog mom to protect my baby, the other for my dog that he had to suffer that because of my wrong choice! At this time point, probably you may ask if my dog really bite people? The answer is no forever! Updates, nobody ever contact me after I file the claim through banfield website, so I decided to file a claim to TEXAS STATE BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICAL EXAMINERS. I will try my best to protect my pets and let every pet owner won't suffer from those unqualified vet!!!!

Based on available information, Banfield Pet Hospital aims to be a convenient and accessible option for pet owners seeking veterinary services. While specific details about the environment within this particular College Station location are not extensively described online, it is generally expected that a professional pet hospital environment would include clean and comfortable examination rooms, surgical suites equipped for various procedures, and potentially areas for housing and monitoring recovering animals. Reputable pet hospitals prioritize hygiene and aim to create a reassuring atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
The services offered at a typical Banfield Pet Hospital, and likely at this College Station location, generally encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care. These often include routine wellness examinations and vaccinations, which are crucial for preventative care and maintaining your pet's health. Diagnostic services, such as laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) and imaging (X-rays), are usually available to help identify and understand any health issues your pet may be facing. For pets requiring surgical intervention, Banfield hospitals typically offer a range of surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries. Dental care is another essential service, often including teeth cleaning, extractions, and guidance on at-home dental hygiene. Furthermore, many Banfield locations provide internal medicine consultations for pets with various medical conditions, as well as dermatological care for skin and allergy issues. They may also offer nutritional counseling and weight management programs to ensure your pet maintains a healthy lifestyle.
A significant feature often associated with Banfield Pet Hospitals is their focus on pet wellness plans. These plans are designed to make routine veterinary care more affordable and accessible through regular monthly payments. They typically cover essential services like annual examinations, core vaccinations, and certain diagnostic tests, potentially offering cost savings over paying for each service individually. These wellness plans often have different tiers to suit the varying needs of different pets and their owners.
To provide a balanced perspective, it's important to consider feedback from pet owners who have experienced the services at this or other Banfield locations. The provided reviews offer contrasting viewpoints. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the handling of their dog, particularly concerning the forced use of a muzzle despite the owner's assurances and the dog's apparent fear. This reviewer raises concerns about the veterinary staff's approach and the potential for negative experiences during drop-off services. They also mention a lack of follow-up after filing a claim through the Banfield website, leading them to escalate the issue to the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. This negative experience highlights the importance of clear communication, trust, and a sensitive approach when handling animals, especially those who may be anxious or insecure.
Conversely, another review offers a highly positive experience at this specific College Station location. This customer praises the entire staff for being warm and welcoming, emphasizing that they never felt rushed during consultations with the doctors and that their concerns were attentively listened to. They express confidence in the care their senior dog receives and value the veterinary team's opinions. This positive feedback suggests that the quality of service and the staff's demeanor can vary, and this particular location has provided excellent care to at least one pet owner.
Considering these contrasting experiences, it is crucial for pet owners to conduct their own due diligence when choosing a veterinary care provider. Visiting the facility, if possible, and having an initial consultation can help assess the environment and the communication style of the veterinary team. It is also advisable to inquire about their protocols for handling anxious or potentially reactive animals and to discuss any specific concerns you may have about your pet's temperament or past experiences at veterinary clinics.
While specific promotional information for the Banfield Pet Hospital in College Station is not provided in the given data, it is common for veterinary clinics to offer introductory specials for new clients, seasonal promotions on certain services (like dental cleaning month), or discounts for enrolling in wellness plans. It would be best to contact the hospital directly at (979) 260-3171 or +1 979-260-3171 or visit their website (if available) to inquire about any current promotions or special offers for local users.
In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital in College Station, Texas, as part of a larger network of pet hospitals, aims to provide a comprehensive range of veterinary services for your pets. These services typically include preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and dental care, often supported by wellness plan options. While one customer review raises significant concerns about the handling of an anxious dog, another offers high praise for the warm and attentive service received at this specific location. It is recommended that local users considering Banfield Pet Hospital further investigate and communicate directly with the clinic to determine if it aligns with their pet's individual needs and their own expectations for veterinary care.

The entire staff is warm and welcoming, I never feel rushed with the doctors and they listen to every concern. I feel like my senior dog is in great hands here and value their opinions on his care.
