Brought my dog in for her annual checkup. We had noticed something’s that we wanted the attending doctor to review during her exam. We dropped her off at 8AM with an estimated time of 4-6 hours. We checked in around 1PM and she had not been seen yet. We checked in at 3 and we were told she was next. Finally at 5 we hear from the doctor and she tells us our dog has delayed reflexes, and notes hair loss. She casually throws in possible diagnosis within conversation such as “disk disease”, “brain tumors” and “spinal issues”. When we get to the office we ask to speak with the doctor further and the receptionists seemed confused why we would want to chat further. Then the doctor meets us in the lobby alongside other patients and rattles off everything from she could be tired to cancer. She recommends following up with an xray or MRI but mentions it’s not urgent. She leaves us and we wait in the lobby for thirty more minutes because the receptionist decided to start mopping the floor and didn’t realize we were there to pick up our dog even though we spoke with them first. We followed up with another doctor and turns out none of these alleged diagnosis were the case, and without any expensive imaging we were able to find out what was wrong and am happy to say our dog is doing great. Banfield as an institution I wouldn’t recommend, this location in particular is a perfect example of the unprofessional care and lack of attention your pet will receive.

Mar 13, 2025 · Tony ValentineGreat experience with my Dog's dental service by Dr. Beckman, Amanda, and Adna. Good communication and listened to my concerns about anesthesia. Because they listened my dog was back to himself sooner after his treatment. Thank you!
Dec 08, 2024 · Megan BI'm sorry you guys but with the extreme long list I was given about honeybear at Bridgetown Emergency vet, I am so extremely disappointed and heartbroken. I brought her in so many times with concerns and she was just given vague or potential "diagnosis" besides the end stage of diabetes. So much could've been prevented but instead it got to the point of no return and she passed away yesterday morning. I will no longer bring any animal here
Mar 16, 2025 · alexis smeadIt would be preferable not to leave my companion at the vets all day. I wonder what happened to the days when actual visits with the vet where patients and owners could actually meet with the vet and build relationships went? An actual appointment (not drop off) anywhere between 10/20 min. whereas individual attention, care and relationship building are a priority. The current process is so impersonal and concerning: companion is dropped off and sitting in a carrier/cage for hours and hours waiting to be seen (pending on urgency-with appointment). Once signed up for “Wellness plan” you’re stuck with that process for a year. It is highly stressful for a pet companion to be sitting in an unfamiliar environment for 6/7 hours waiting to be seen-more so if they are ill. This practice also makes it extremely difficult and inconvenient for the pet owner to work around the hospitals’ schedule. I understand that this process allows for more clients to be seen but at a cost. This practice is extremely impersonal and unacceptable. There is room for improvement in this area. Also, I understand that animals have potty accidents in the waiting area, however on 3 different occasions the smell was very unpleasant. Possibly just spraying something to mask the odor would help if there is no time to actually disinfect the area(s).
Aug 13, 2024 · Doveva BeckerI have had great experiences with this location. They are patient and thorough with my kind-of difficult dog. They don't rush through my questions and make sure I understand everything. They are also as accommodating as they can be regarding last minute appointments when needed. This is not the closes Banfield location to me but I drive the extra 15 minutes for the excellent care.
