I don’t usually leave reviews but for this place I have too. This is the first experience that I took my fur baby to the vet where he felt comfortable. My experience at a different location in Vegas has left me leaving uncomfortable and upset. Which made me insecure since adopting my fur baby from a home that was not good to him. Dr. Palmer and the ladies working the front (sorry that I didn’t catch your names) you guys left me in shock on how Pluto was around you guys. He did show he was scared but not the way he has at the location I took him before. He enjoyed you guys. Thank you for making us both comfortable.

Welcome to Banfield Pet Hospital

For pet owners in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the surrounding communities, access to a reliable "Pet Hospital" is vital for ensuring the health and well-being of their animal companions. Banfield Pet Hospital, located at 171 N Nellis Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89110, USA, is part of a well-established national network of veterinary hospitals, offering a range of services. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of what Banfield Pet Hospital potentially offers, drawing upon available information, including mixed customer feedback, to present an objective perspective of the clinic.

As a prominent "Pet Hospital" chain, Banfield is known for providing a wide array of veterinary services, often emphasizing preventative care and wellness plans. For local residents seeking a "Pet Hospital Near Me" in the Nellis Boulevard area of Las Vegas, the provided address indicates a conveniently located facility. They can be contacted at (702) 459-6880 or via mobile phone at +1 702-459-6880 to schedule appointments or inquire about their services and wellness programs.

Based on the customer reviews, we can gather some insights into the environment of this Banfield Pet Hospital. One reviewer highlighted that their pet felt comfortable during the visit, which suggests a welcoming and potentially calming atmosphere for animals. The mention of friendly front desk staff also contributes to a positive initial impression. The efficient handling of appointments, with one reviewer noting getting into a room quickly with no wait time, indicates an organized and streamlined process. However, another reviewer's experience suggests that the energy and approach of the actual veterinarian might vary, impacting the overall comfort level for pet owners. While the facility itself might be clean and efficient, the individual interactions with veterinary staff appear to play a significant role in the perceived environment.

As a Banfield Pet Hospital, the services offered are likely to be comprehensive, encompassing preventative care, diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures. Banfield is particularly known for its Optimum Wellness Plans, which are designed to provide proactive care through regular check-ups, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and dental care at a predictable monthly cost. Beyond these plans, they would also offer services for sick visits, injury care, and various surgical needs. The positive review mentioning a comfortable experience for a previously anxious pet suggests that the staff is adept at handling animals with sensitivity. However, the negative review raises concerns about the perceived push for potentially unnecessary and expensive procedures, indicating that the approach to recommending treatments might vary between veterinarians within the same facility. It's important for pet owners to discuss treatment options thoroughly and understand the necessity and cost implications.

Features of Banfield Pet Hospitals often include standardized medical protocols, access to electronic medical records across locations (for members of their wellness plans), and a focus on preventative medicine. The positive aspects highlighted in the reviews include friendly and knowledgeable staff (particularly the veterinarian assistant and front desk), efficient service with minimal wait times, and a comfortable environment for some pets. The negative feedback points to a potential lack of perceived compassion from at least one veterinarian and a feeling of being pressured into expensive procedures that were deemed unnecessary by the pet owner after their cat recovered quickly with basic care. This suggests that while some aspects of the service and staff are commendable, the experience can be heavily influenced by the individual veterinarian encountered. The willingness of the dissatisfied customer to return only in an emergency or with a different veterinarian indicates a lack of consistent positive experience across all interactions.

Promotional information for Banfield Pet Hospitals is often centered around their Optimum Wellness Plans, which can be seen as a form of ongoing promotion for preventative care services offered at a bundled monthly rate. These plans typically include a range of services like routine examinations, vaccinations, and select diagnostic tests. Additionally, Banfield may offer introductory discounts or special offers for new clients enrolling in wellness plans. To determine the specific promotions available at the Banfield Pet Hospital on N Nellis Blvd in Las Vegas, local users are advised to contact the hospital directly or visit the official Banfield website, where details about their wellness plans and any current special offers are usually provided. Understanding the terms and coverage of these plans is crucial for pet owners to assess their value for their individual pet's needs.

In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital on N Nellis Blvd in Las Vegas, NV, operates as part of a national veterinary network, offering a range of services with a strong emphasis on preventative care through their wellness plans. Customer reviews present a mixed picture. On the positive side, some pet owners have experienced friendly and knowledgeable staff, efficient service, and a comfortable environment for their pets. However, there are also concerns raised about the perceived lack of compassion from at least one veterinarian and the feeling of being pressured into potentially unnecessary expensive procedures. Local users considering Banfield Pet Hospital should weigh these differing experiences. Exploring their Optimum Wellness Plans and discussing treatment options thoroughly with the veterinarian are recommended. Contacting the hospital directly or visiting the Banfield website will provide the most up-to-date information on their services, wellness plans, and any current promotions, allowing pet owners to make an informed decision about their pet's care.

Got into a room quickly with no wait time. The veterinarian assistant was very kind and knowledgeable. The actual veterinarian was not really like the assistant and I didn't really like the energy from her. I didn't feel like she was compassionate enough and it was mostly all talk about high expense procedures that were not even needed for my sick cat. My cat healed all the way up within 2 days of going to see this vet so she definitely did not need any of the expensive things that the vet kept pushing on us. Was not happy with her at all. Probably would only come back here in the case of an emergency and if I had no other option. Or maybe if we got to see a different veterinarian. But definitely wouldn't want this lady as our permanent vet

Took him in for his 10:30Am Wellness Check Up which includes blood labs and shots. 12:30Pm got called he was ready but he had thrown up once and suggested anti nausea medicine. 12:45 he was hyperventilating 1:01 he was turning purple (in which I indicated "Do what ever needs to be done" ) 1:15 he was gone...... As per phone call they put him on "Oxygen" mind you he is an English Bulldog and 3 rounds of CPR... and was GONE!! We recently moved from Colorado to Las Vegas and Banfield made it easy for our fur baby. As soon as you walk in, you feel like family. They have given our babies exceptional care since day 1.

They took our dog right away, didn't make us pay an emergency deposit up front. The Dr actually listened to me instead of doing unnecessary and costly procedures. And when it was fine to leave and we couldn't pay the whole bill, they actually let us go on his faith that we will pay when we can. Which we will. Hands down they saved Freckles life!
