Took my two 11-month-old kittens in for the first time to Banfield Pet Hospital on John Milton Dr, Herndon, VA. Loved the facility and staff there! Facility was bright and clean. They let the kittens be treated in the room since I wanted to be with them (not have them go to the back). Kaitlyn was our nurse - kindly let us into a room to wait since we were early and was so patient with this nervous cat Mom - she was responsive and fantastic! Dakota (vet tech?) assisted with the blood tests and was gentle and efficient. Dr. James Lew was our vet - the first thing he did with each kitten was to pick them up and cuddle them - he apparently does this with all his new cat patients! Everyone worked well together as a team! This is my new vet!

Worst appointment​ adherence EVER and absolutely no sense of URGENCY. Attempt 1- called to schedule for sick pet in 3 days. Upon arrival, staff seemed confused & said it was actually a week later. 10 days after illness. Attempt 2 - I ran a few minutes late, called to inform, & arrived 9 minutes after appointment time. Upon arrival, staff told me that the doctor said if I was more than 5 minutes late I must reschedule. Rescheduled for 10 days later, i.e. 21 days after reported illness. Pet still ill. Attempt 3- arrived 22 minutes early & staff told me they could not check me in until my appointment time so that they do not receive demerits for excessive client visit lengths. Huh? So I take my pup for a 20 minute walk, I'm checked in, shown to a room, & 25 minutes later a tech enters. The next 120 minutes is a game of "telephone" between me, the tech, & the vet when I've made clear the resolution I want in my first description​ of concerns. I didn't need to hear about tests we could run & how much they cost & treatments when I haven't heard a word directly from the vet's mouth on the reasons why. The tech did not know the answers to all my questions, why tests were recommended, or what they might indicate. Only in the last 20 minutes did I have face-to-face time with the doctor and that is a shame. I tried so hard to be respectful of the staff, but to be in that building for THREE HOURS is unacceptable​, unprofessional​, and outrageous. My Banfield "wellness plan" ends soon. This current experience​ rankles me so, I may not renew.

10 star experience. Dakota, you were meant to do this job. Thank you so much for helping Gizmo and I today. The nurse in me appreciates how fast and easy check-in was, the Impeccably clean room and how helpful the whole staff was. From getting the numbers straight for out of pocket vs our care plan and coupon and taking such great care of our cat. Thank you Dr Hernandez for explaining all the labs and getting us sorted for next steps.

Dr. Salmanzadeh and Denise were wonderful during my last minute visit. This was our first time in this location, and I couldn't be more pleased for a wonderful team that took care of my Cirilla from the minute we stepped into the door to the last min we walked out. Cirilla has a history of abuse, and denise and Dr. Salmanzadeh made sure they were gentle with her. They made sure I was aware of everything that was wrong with her and explained everything to me and my fiancee. This team is a 10- and I would highly recommend them. here are some pictures for attention :)
