Love this location, second visit with second dog. Awesome front desk staff that is warm and friendly and clearly animal lovers. Didn’t meet the vet, but she called with a report of her findings and review of my dogs comprehensive assessment. Talked at length and she answered questions patiently and didn’t rush me off the phone. Super convenient location too, much easier than having to navigate through a pet store with anxious pets that know they are on the way to a visit at the vet!

We love all of our Banfield team and how comfortable they make our babies feel. I have to take an extra minute to thank and brag on Hannah, our vet tech. She went above and beyond yesterday to address our concerns and give our kitty a little extra love.

DO NOT sign up for a wellness plan. They are not worth it, if you don’t pay the wellness plan, they send you to collections. Services are cheaper if you pay as you need. When it goes to collections they charge you the entire year amount for the plan and do not give services that were promised in the wellness plan even though you paid the collection agency for them. I have sent this predatory practice to the BBB see complaint below: On 05/22/2024 I took my pet to Banfield animal hospital on John J Delaney in Ballantyne. They explained what the wellness plan was but I did not consent to the wellness plan. They charged me for the wellness plan on a card that their system had stored. I was charged 177.19 on 05/22 then an autopay for the wellness plan I didn’t consent to came out on 06/26 for $76.95. In December, Banfield sent me to collections for 904.16. I called IC system on 12/12 and explained I would pay 462.59 (amount without plan discount for services on 5/22) - 177.19 (amount paid 5/22) - 76.95 (amount charged 6/26 for wellness plan) + 134.66 (collections fee)= 343.11. IC collections said that they can only settle for 700 and some odd dollars. I asked “if I pay the full 904.16, will I still have the services offered in the contract that ends 05/22/2025” they said no. Banfield is charging customers the full amount of the plan, sending that amount to collections, and then not offering the terms of the contract. This is predatory and illegal especially since I never signed the contract.

There should be a zero star option. This morning, my dog choked on her food. We were able to get her stable but she was still breathing funny. We ran to the closest vet, Banfield in Ballantyne and let them know the situation. We waited for 5 minutes and the receptionist said that the two people who could look at her were on the phone. After waiting another 5 minutes or so, she said that they were busy and couldn’t check her out quickly but we could make an appointment for next week. Apparently, a dog that was choking wasn’t considered an emergency. Ridiculous. I’ve heard they are just out for money and don’t really care about patient care. I now believe this. We ran down the street to UrgentVet; they were fantastic. If you have an emergency and run to Banfield, I hope you have an appointment.

I was treated very professionally and the staff was extremely nice. I did not have to wait long when we came in or for pick up either.
