It's important for pet owners considering these plans to understand the specific terms and conditions, including what services are covered and any limitations.
Based on the provided customer reviews, we can glean some insights into the customer experience at the Nicholasville location. One review mentions a delay in the vet room, waiting 20 minutes for a nurse for a shot. This suggests that while the intention might be good, there could be occasional wait times. The same review also highlights a discrepancy regarding the cost of a nail trim, with the customer being quoted a price despite it being included in their "club" membership at the salon. This indicates a potential area for improvement in communication or service delivery. It's crucial for pet owners to clarify the costs of services, especially if they are part of a wellness plan.
On a more positive note, another customer shared a first-time experience where the staff was described as "very nice" and even provided a complimentary front paw trim as a courtesy. Apr 16, 2025 · Kim PosadasDO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE My dog, Sweet Potato, got sick on Friday afternoon and her vet sent us to Banfield Pet Hospital in PetSmart. (We went to Brannon Crossing) She had been throwing up all night and couldn’t even hold down water. Her vet said they were better equipped to take care of her. Banfield gave me a drop off time and assured us they would take great care of her. Took a full assessment. I told them she had been throwing up for hours and she needed fluids. 5 hours later we were on our way to pick her up when they called us in a panic. She started having a seizure and we needed to come take her somewhere else. We race there, only to find their vet, Dr. Neff slowly trying to talk to us. He said her condition was poor and we needed to euthanize her. We were so confused. Why would we put our 1 year old puppy down without explanation? When I dropped her off she was weak, but not at deaths door. And he couldn’t explain why. He had no idea why she was sick or what happened to her. It’s like he didn’t even see her that day. We kindly told him where to shove it and to give us our dog back. They handed us sweet potatoes limp body. Her stomach was pulsing, she was having trouble breathing, and she couldn’t move. She was dying in my arms. We rushed her to MedVet. They called a STAT in the lobby and took our girl back on the table immediately. 45 minutes later the vet told us what actually happened. Our dog had punctured one of our kids inhalers and ingested albuterol. And she swallowed something that was stuck in her intestines. Two separate incidents. Her central nervous system was shutting down, causing seizures. Her stomach had stopped working. Her heart rate was 220 and her blood pressure sky high. I asked if she could save her. She said she would try her best, but the situation was dire. Turns out our puppy lay on the Banfield kennel floor for 5 hours dying. Only when we were on our way did they finally attempt treatment, but it was too late. She had started seizing. And by no other means but a complete miracle from Jesus, I got a text Monday morning that she was doing so much better! Was alert, able to eat and keeping food down, and even went on walks! Medvet saved our dog’s life. You know what Banfield did? They called me 4 times as I was rushing my dogs lifeless body to an actual hospital to tell me I didnt pay their bill. And if I didn’t pay they would turn my account to collections. I don’t know how this place and Dr. Neff are in business, but make sure you do not take your pets there. Learn from my experience. **Edit: the practice manager called me. Turns out Dr. Neff did in fact suspect poisoning. He thought it was antifreeze. But they have no way of testing for which kind of poison. So instead of calling us to tell us that and to take her somewhere else for emergency treatment, he just let our puppy lay dying on the floor for 5 hours. This place is dangerous.
Dec 11, 2024 · Latoya FinneyI brought out 3 month old kitten in to this location because it was a Sunday and our vet was closed. Our kitten hadn’t ate that day or the day before and we were concerned. At drop off they gave me the whole speal about their contract plans to sign up but them at pick up they recommended me to “not sign up yet just in case something happens to your pet”, send us with antibiotics, said it was a cold and sent us home… two days later he was put down at our home vet. Our cert explained he had FIP and was showing symptoms far before Sunday that was missed by Banfield. It seemed like they know something was more severe than a cold if they encourage me not to sign up for the contract. Our experience just doesn’t sit right with me.
