Like many others, very frustrated with this establishment. The receptionists make it seem like I’m inconveniencing them whenever I call or ask questions. Staff keeps trying to sell me things I’ve never heard of before and don’t elaborate on how it would help my pet’s condition or if it’s even beneficial - just trying to sell. I just want proper treatment with my pet. Taking my business elsewhere.

While the provided information does not detail the specific environment of this Southern Pines location, Banfield Pet Hospitals generally strive to offer a clean and professional setting for pet care. You can typically expect examination rooms where veterinarians can assess your pets, a reception area for clients, and potentially other areas designated for procedures or treatments. As a national chain, Banfield often has standardized layouts and aims to create a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners during their visit.

As a comprehensive Pet Hospital, Banfield Pet Hospital in Southern Pines likely offers a wide range of veterinary services. These typically include routine check-ups and vaccinations to help keep your pets healthy and prevent diseases. They would also provide diagnostic services, which may involve laboratory tests, imaging such as X-rays, and other methods to help determine the cause of any health issues your pet might be facing. For pets that are ill or injured, Banfield would offer medical treatments, which could include prescribing medications, providing therapies, and potentially performing surgical procedures depending on the clinic's capabilities. Preventative care, such as advice on nutrition, parasite control, and dental health, is also usually a part of their service offerings.

However, it is important to consider the feedback from recent customers to gain a more complete understanding of the potential experience at this particular Banfield location. One customer expressed frustration with the establishment, stating that receptionists seemed unhelpful when contacted. This individual also reported that staff members repeatedly tried to sell them unfamiliar products without adequately explaining their benefits for the pet's condition, leading to a feeling that the focus was more on sales than on providing proper treatment. This customer indicated their intention to seek veterinary care elsewhere.

Another customer shared a similarly frustrating experience, noting that their dog's vet bills at Banfield were higher than their horse's care costs. This reviewer specifically mentioned repeated pressure to undergo expensive bloodwork (over $300) every few months for a dog on long-term arthritis medication, despite consistently normal bloodwork results. This was perceived as unnecessary and financially burdensome. This customer also advised other owners to "beware."

Considering these customer reviews, it's important for local users to be aware of potential issues regarding customer service at the reception and the possibility of being frequently recommended additional, potentially costly, services. While Banfield as a Pet Hospital offers a standard range of veterinary care, the experiences shared by these customers suggest that the approach to client interaction and recommendations for treatment and diagnostics might be a point of concern for some pet owners.

Regarding features, Banfield Pet Hospital being a part of a larger network can sometimes offer benefits such as standardized medical records and potentially wellness plans. However, the reviews provided do not highlight these aspects positively for this specific location. Instead, they draw attention to less favorable aspects like perceived pressure to purchase additional services and unhelpful reception staff.

In terms of promotional information, no specific promotions were mentioned in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot comment on any current deals or special offers. However, the general premise of a Pet Hospital like Banfield is to provide accessible veterinary care for the local community. For pet owners in Southern Pines, the convenience of the location on Commerce Ave might be a factor to consider.

For local users in Southern Pines seeking a Pet Hospital, Banfield at 305 Commerce Ave is an option to consider. They offer a standard range of veterinary services, and the convenience of their location may be appealing. However, it is crucial to be aware of the recent customer feedback regarding potentially pushy sales tactics for additional services and issues with the helpfulness of the reception staff. If you value a straightforward approach to your pet's care without pressure for extra services and expect helpful and courteous reception, you may want to weigh these reviews carefully when making your decision.

In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital in Southern Pines operates as a Pet Hospital providing veterinary care. While they offer a standard suite of services and a convenient location, recent customer feedback raises concerns about the sales practices for additional services and the quality of customer service at the reception. Local pet owners should take these experiences into account when deciding whether Banfield Pet Hospital meets their needs for their beloved animals. You can contact them at the provided phone number for more information on their services, but it would also be prudent to be mindful of the experiences shared by other pet owners.

I’ve had a really frustrating experience with this vet. My dog’s vet bills end up costing more than what I pay for my horse’s care. They repeatedly push for $300+ bloodwork every few months for an arthritis medication he’s been on for years—despite the fact that his bloodwork has always come back perfectly fine. Owners beware .

All the staff that took care of my dog were professional and helpful. I want to shout out the front desk staff members Stephanie and Bobbie for going above and beyond to answer my questions and follow up with results. Dr. Keane and Dr. Radcliff provided wonderful medicine and Stephanie the vet tech is always amazing!

They treat Barney ( our precious senior Cat) exceptionally well. Dr. Powers and staff are very professional and they are very friendly. They really care about your pet and its health and do their best that your pet is properly cared for. We highly Recommend Dr. Powers.

I would recommend this pet hospital to anyone, the staff and the vets have always been very pleasant and caring to our fur babies needs. I have been meaning to write about my experience because it made me cry of how much they cared about the loss of our girl tiger lilly She was very ill and we had to put her down, from beginning to end they got us in asap and the news was devastating. It’s been a month and it has not been easy she was more than a pet she was a member of our family. She grew up with our daughters. About a week ago we got a card from the pet hospital and it was the most thoughtful card we have ever received. It was signed by everyone at the pet hospital including our vet. And specific thoughts and condolences I just wanted to tell you guys thank you for caring for our pets and everything that you do for our community. It does not go unnoticed 🙏🏽♥️
