Banfield Pet Hospital

I took my dog in for a dental cleaning and for them to “trim” her nails and when I got her back and looked at her nails I realized they had cut 7 of her nails so low that she was bleeding on all of them. I highly recommend NOT to bring your animal here for any sort of service like that. I’m severely disappointed in the treatment.

I’ll give them this, it’s affordable and the staff are usually pretty nice. I don’t love that they auto schedule me, sometimes I think they just take the phone off the hook, and I’ve had people be pretty surly. But I get the sense it’s a hard place to work.

I highly recommend Dr. Nathan Simon! He is the best vet I have ever taken my animals to. He takes the time to try and figure out the root cause of my dogs ailments instead of just treating the symptoms. He takes the time to actively listen and answer all of your questions and concerns. He even gave me information on pet insurance plans that would help cover the cost of my dogs allergy medicine. He also took the time to go over the risks of certain ingredients in my dogs grain free dog food. I fully trust Dr. Simon with my dogs! I also really like the vet tech I am not sure what her name is but I think she is Asian and is super sweet and kind!

Great service! It was very easy to schedule a convenient day and for an appointment. The staff and doctor were friendly and helpful.

Dr. St. Clair is awful. I took my dog in because he hurt himself. Instead of doing a proper exam, she read in the notes (from a previous Banfield - Parker location) that he supposedly had degenerative disc disease (news to me) and assumed that's what was wrong with him. She reluctantly gave me some Rimadyl. She also told me he was overweight, gave me some essential fatty acids and a prescription weight loss food. I approved x-rays with the vet tech, but Dr. St. Clair said it wasn't necessary. Fast forward 4 days later and I took him to an actual vet since he is not getting any better. He has a torn ACL, that was missed the last time through Parker. He has now reinjured it and needs surgery. The new vet did a physical exam, and could move around his knee - he showed me how it's not supposed to move like that. He knew right away what was wrong, and did an x-ray to make sure more damage wasn't done. I will not be returning to Banfield ever again, and I suggest you ALWAYS get a second opinion if you do choose to take your pet to this place.
