I have had repeated frustrating experiences at this Banfield location, but my most recent visit was the last straw. I initially brought my cat in on February 2nd because he wasn’t eating. I saw his lab work online and tried to discuss it with the veterinarian, but instead of providing clear answers, she asked me what I thought of the results as if I were a vet. A nurse even tried to help, but they also couldn’t explain things to me. This was the vet’s last week, and it really felt like she had checked out and wasn’t invested in my cat’s care. A week later, I came back for a follow-up appointment to recheck labs—an appointment I scheduled myself, as the previous vet didn’t even suggest it. The new veterinarian was great and worked out a plan with me, which I appreciated. When I needed a medication refill, the staff initially asked if someone else could bring my cat in, but as a parent managing two kids and work, that wasn’t an option. Medication pickups take 30+ minutes at this location, making it difficult to fit into my schedule. They begrudgingly refilled the prescription but refused to transfer it to a closer Banfield location for convenience. Then came the most frustrating part: I scheduled my cat’s follow-up appointment for Monday, but Banfield called to move it to today. When I arrived for the drop-off, they asked if my cat had taken his medication that morning. Since it was 8:30 a.m., he hadn’t. They then told me they couldn’t proceed with the lab work because he needed to have had the medication within 4–6 hours prior—something they never mentioned beforehand. If they had simply told me this requirement when rescheduling, it would have saved me a ton of time and effort. I reached out to the practice manager to express my concerns, but she continuously spoke over me and did not seem interested in actually hearing me out. Overall, this location has had repeated issues with poor communication and customer service, and after this experience, I will be taking my pets elsewhere.

I’ve been waiting to post this review. We moved here from Arizona this last year, and in that time have had more pet expenses over ridiculous stuff than ever before. We’re on the plan, so we have certain things covered. Banfield is a scam, stay away and go to a local vet. They’re more honest and care much more about your pet than hitting certain metrics for corporate reasons. First time they had us running tests that amounted to over one thousand dollars. Turns out our dog was merely in a false labor after being fixed. The vet could’ve merely told us this when my dog was lactating, but instead we had to get Lois over to lab… blah, blah, blah. The most recent visit was a routine yeast infection in the ear, one that had never fully gone away in 5 months because I was bad at making my dog finish the antibiotic. I wasn’t able to go with my partner, and the doctor attempted to bully her into a full test on the type of bacteria in the ear, which they did a few months back when I took her in for the same issue. They made my partner feel like trash for not paying them an arm and a leg when we already pay them 70 bucks a month. Our last Banfield rarely upsold, this one tries every time. Stay away.

Will not be taking our dog back to this location. While they have a nice receptionist, they had very poor communication with us and what was for a routine checkup that should have taken maybe a couple hours, took all day. We ended up calling to ask if we could pick him up late in the afternoon after the drop off started at 9. We had asked to get our dogs nail trimmed if able, but they couldn't. We weren't charged, but what they failed to mention was that they tried to cut his nails. And had indeed cut several of his nails to the quick. Not only did the place fail to tell us, we got no helpful insight from the staff after we called several times when "holding pressure" and flour were not stanching the rather severe bleeding.

When we adopted our dog, we inherited the previous owner’s OWP plan. Upon taking our dog in for a checkup, Banfield informed us that they could create a new plan for us (in our name, instead of the previous owner’s name), cancelling the existing plan and even discounting the monthly cost. In doing so, they straight up lied to us about cancelling the existing plan and left us with two plans for one dog. Corporate refuses to help, telling us that they don’t cancel plans without us paying the remaining balance, and that we have to take it up with the local branch. The local branch refuses to help, informing us we need to take it up with corporate. They deliberately and purposefully lied to us in order to get our dog on a second wellness plan.

Hate this place and the OWP is a scam. Every time I took my dog there they were unable to service him. They took drop offs only, which is why they couldn't service him. He's very temperamental and it's helpful if I'm in the room, but they would not allow that. After two or three visits of him being there all day with no resolution, I decided to cancel the plan. Months later I was hit with a collection to pay for the full year's worth of the plan, even though my dog received no service.
