I don’t believe the veterinarians are veterinarians, they are just vet technicians. My experience was not a good one. They charged me $250 and didn’t tell me anything, actually when I spoke to the veterinarian or Tech however, you wanna classify, she was very rude and abrupt spoken circles just trying to get more money. When I took my pet out of there, she even called my wife and tackled on me that I was removing the pet against medical advice. I took matters in my own hands, and if I can Correct the problem through common sense I will be canceling my insurance with Banfield

Regarding the environment of the Banfield Pet Hospital in Woodhaven, the provided reviews do not offer any descriptive information. The customer reviews that were provided paint a concerning picture of the experiences of these pet owners. One reviewer expressed doubt about whether the staff they interacted with were actual veterinarians, suggesting they might have been vet technicians. This reviewer reported a negative experience where they felt they were charged $250 without receiving adequate information. They also described the communication as rude and felt the focus was on upselling. Furthermore, this customer alleged that upon deciding to seek care elsewhere, the clinic contacted their spouse and misrepresented the situation as them removing the pet against medical advice. Due to this negative experience, the reviewer stated their intention to cancel their insurance with Banfield.

The second review was even more critical, with the customer stating they "honestly can’t believe anyone rated them over one star." They recounted issues with multiple appointments being canceled upon arrival, with claims of messages being left that were never received. This reviewer also mentioned their dog having a severe ear infection and being refused care due to the clinic being "short staffed" after an appointment had been made. They further stated that the manager was rude and that multiple emails to corporate went unanswered. This overwhelmingly negative experience led this customer to express strong disapproval of Banfield.

Given these two customer reviews, the feedback available is predominantly negative. These reviews raise concerns about the professionalism and communication of the staff, the reliability of appointment scheduling, and the overall quality of care and customer service experienced by these individuals. I honestly can’t believe anyone rated them over one star, but I’m glad not everyone got the treatment that we did. We have two dogs, both on the plan. Made multiple appointments and it was cancelled when we got to the location. Claimed they left us a message, no message to be found. My dog had a severe ear infection and refused to see her after they made an appointment with me because they were “short staffed”. Spoke with manager, she was rude. Emailed corporate multiple times without a reply.

I truly value the exceptional service that Lorie at the grooming salon provides and has provided for my dog since I started taking him to pets mart 14 yrs ago! (When pets mart has just opened at Woodhaven) I love how she cares for my dog JoJo! Also, whenever I take my dog to the hospital for his check ups, Kellie and Sam take care of my JoJo and his needs, along with his Doctors!! 🥰 I love the staff!

The staff is always very friendly and the doctor always gives great advice on how to provide the best care for my pets. I know that Simba & Louis are always in good hands whenever they have their apt at Banfield.

i have quite literally never had a worse experience. this was one of the places i called to see if they could get my cat a blood test for her allergies and they said it would only be $400 when others quoted me 1000 so i made the appointment with them the lady on the phone said i would just drop her off at 10 and they would call me with updates seemed simple enough. a few weeks go by and i drop her off and speak to the receptionist telling her ive never had to drop her off and leave her anywhere since she was a baby and got fixed so i had some anxiety and wanted to know more about how this worked as i wasn’t given too much information. she told me the vet would call me and go over everything shortly so i left and went home and i got a call it was them saying they just found out they actually don’t do that kind of test for cats only for dogs… they said it looks like she’s due for her booster vaccine so they can do that since they already had her, i was very disappointed because that was the entire reason i made the appointment but i said do the booster anyways. for TWO HOURS i still had not heard anything so i called again and the lady on the phone told me the vet hadn’t even seen her yet and other animals still are waiting before her i told her no one told me it would be an all day appointment thing the only reason i thought i was dropping her off and leaving was because she was going to be put under anesthesia for the blood test. The lady on the phone wanted to know who I spoke to because she said they don’t even put first time patients under anesthesia, which i obviously had no idea because I had spoken to these people on the phone three times now and every time not a single person says their name so I just told her I would just come and pick my cat up because I had already had her appointment scheduled with a other vet anyways, and I didn’t want her sitting there in a cage in the back room for another four hours. when I get there to pick her up, a lady goes to the back and gets her and then 15 minutes later, she comes out and I’m walking through the PetSmart because it’s located in the back and I see my cat has her head poking out of her carrier and the lady didn’t even fully zip the carrier door so I could have lost my cat in the store with dogs walking around. I have never experienced such disorganization and incompetence in my life
