We had the painful decision to put our baby to sleep. The staff showed compassion from the phone call to the time our baby passed. They stayed with us stroking her with us. Jan 03, 2025 · Linda EdwardsWe trusted Banfield to help our animal in case she gets sick by signing up for a monthly plan for the past 5 years. Our cat started showing UTI symptoms. She had it once before and we knew exactly what was going on right away. We needed to start her on antibiotic urgently. Banfield refused to ease our pet’s symptoms telling us to leave the cat at the clinic for the day, which we did. In the end of the day they called us and told that they had problem collecting a urine sample. It happens. Things don't always go as planned. Our cat has extreme anxiety being anywhere but home. Before picking her up after she spent all day in the clinic with no help, I begged Dr. Caballero to give us antibiotic to start helping our cat with symptoms. Dr. Caballero refused to provide us with any medication until she has a urine sample, which again, clinic couldn't collect even though our pet spent the entire day there. Basically, they returned our cat back saying they can't help her. We had no choice but to bring her home without being able to help her in any way. We simply left her to her struggles locked in the restroom alone, peeing everywhere, and crying the entire night... After that, we had to put poor cat through the stress of being in the hospital 2nd day to only find out she needed that antibiotic I asked about initially. Please understand, we love our pets like our own children and we heavily rely on you for immediate help. If we as people and as professionals stop making sound decisions driven by common sense, there is no value to us and to work we do. Dr. Caballero failed us by refusing to help our animal, by making no attempt to lift her pain and symptoms. We had to bring Gladie back in next morning. Our animal is scarred to death of new environments and of new people. These two days in the clinic were a true nightmare for her. I'd love to ask, is this how you see yourself helping? Is this how you see your role as a vet and as a clinic? You refused to provide poor animal with a very much needed help and you didn't even make an attempt to release her symptoms. This was the reason we came to you. When we were picking up Gladie in the end of the second day and received her medication, vet tech told us to give her the antibiotic when we get home. I asked if they already gave her 1st dose of medication and I was told that they DID NOT…Please, what's wrong with you? Why you didn't even try to help our poor animal? You already had U/A results that you wanted. Why antibiotic wasn't given to our animal immediately? She spent hours in the clinic. We are extremely disappointed with BANFIELD and with Dr. Caballero-Quinones. They have FAILED us and our sweet little cat. If your pet needs help, look for vets who believe in providing immediate help and in relieving symptoms right away. Banfield is not that place.

We’ve been coming here since Ruka was a puppy and they have always been very thorough and informative. I knew she was in great hands! They called every few hours with updates while she was in their care, which gave me peace of mind. We are on the wellness plan, which is well worth it. I would definitely recommend Banfield Jax beach!
