Apr 08, 2025 · Nicole EvansMy Penelope was in a lot of pain on a Friday afternoon. Dr. Griffin stayed open past closing time to talk to me, and reassured me that she would be ok. Dr.Griffin saw Penelope first thing Monday morning, and called me about an hour later. She took her time and talked me through everything. I was sure I was going to lose my sweet girl, but Dr.Griffin took extra special care of her. Penelope and is now at home, sleeping soundly.
Nov 04, 2024 · Jennifer Whitlock _ Staff - BarwellRdES*** IF YOUR PET IS HAVING AN EMERGENCY DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE *** My pup is a 1 year old and has been going here since I got her. So I thought I could trust Banfield with an emergency after her spay incision opened due to a hernia. I called them and they told me to come in immediately. I brought her in and within 5 min they then turned me away because it was 3:30 and they closed at 6. They told me to come in and wasted valuable time in a dangerous situation. My dogs intestines were literally hanging out and she was bleeding away and they just told me to go to the urgent vet across the street. They didn’t even call ahead or check if they could close her up. They didn’t even let me know that my pup had a hernia. The urgent vet that I went to for the first time had more concern and care than the vet I’ve been going to for almost a year. The urgent vet bandaged her, looked at her, let me know it was a hernia and called all the hospitals for me , found the closest and cost effective one and let them know that I was on the way. Thankfully my dog is okay and it is no thanks to Banfield. But I’m sure they got to leave at 6 so that’s what matters…. They also said they’d call in a few days to check on my pup and I never heard from them again. This couldn’t have gone horribly wrong. Be weary of coming here with any emergencies. They are negligent! They even gave me medication once that I needed to monitor her for possible complications due to a gene defect and they didn’t even tell me or make note of it in her file . A different Banfield location caught it and was very concerned about it. Not to mention …. I got my dog back after her intial spay with fecal matter all over her paws and fur . They just handed her back to me like that. This Banfield needs to do better …. Negligence all around .
Jun 03, 2024 · Yasmin Aboelelathis is my first time coming here and it was a nightmare very unprofessional and robbing me from my money,Came in for concerns of my cat they gave my cat the rabies shot but while doing so one of the lady that was doing it,the needle went through her finger into my cat and they charge me for their mistakes that they did.also made me pay them for making me late to go pick up my cat I’ve told them way ahead of time that I’m an 1hr away from hospital, but yet tell me why they call me while I was driving saying that they needed information,so therefore made me late because I had to pull over to get their information they needed.not coming back here ever again.
Apr 18, 2025 · DestUpdate 2024: We finally switched vets. My husband kept on going back to the due to convenience. They only do drop off appointments, and that isn't so good for older dogs. We have also had endless issues with them, including mistaking our two dogs and then blaming that on us, saying we didn't know which dog was which. We've had these two dogs for 10-12 years. I'm so glad to finally be done with them. Would never recommend. Update 7/27/18: My husband made an appointment for my dog to be seen here today. He took time out of work to take my dog to the vet. When he got there, he was told they couldn't see my dog because they overbooked. Two years ago, the practice manager said that she would make sure we had no other issues with bookings, and yet, here we are. We are now taking our business elsewhere. A local vet got us in on Tuesday at 8:30 AM. Update 10/11/16: I had a very good conversation with the practice manager, Linda. She listened to my concerns about that particular employee and let me know that they will be addressed. I would hate for one employee to sully the entire practice. I am more than willing to give them another try because my dogs received excellent care from our vet tech and vet. I submitted an appointment request online for both of my dogs. They called my husband to confirm. Everything was set. I called the day of, and they said they didn't have an appointment for us. I had my husband check the confirmation email, and we were right. He called them back, and it turns out that the receptionist wrote down the appointment on a piece of paper and never put it into the scheduling system. He confirmed that it was for dogs. When we got there in the rain during Hurricane Matthew with two dogs, the receptionist said my other dog, who hates rain, was there for moral support. No, he's there for an office visit. Why would I bring a dog to the vet in the rain for moral support? After two confirmations, she only put the appointment for one dog and not two as we specified. This practice would be much improved if they reiterate the importance of attention details with the receptionist who is obviously not doing her job. Anyway, the vet tech and Dr. Joy were great. I'm mixed in whether I would want to continue going there.
