Ballard Animal Hospital

Ballard Animal Hospital is the best! They truly care about the whole health of your pet. Our senior Pomeranian, Gizmo, was struggling with a chronic cough, and our previous vet had sadly given up on helping him. We decided to get a second opinion here, and it was the best decision we’ve made. They took their time, asked thoughtful questions, and didn’t rush through the appointment. They genuinely wanted to help and created a plan that worked. The first medication they recommended was a miracle—it completely turned Gizmo’s life around! He’s like a new dog! We’ve since gone back for a couple of other concerns, and every experience has been amazing. They’re patient, they listen, and they truly care about your pet. We’re so thankful for their incredible care!

We love Ballard Animal Hospital. My dachshund has been a patient for about 5 years. The doctors and staff are so caring. Our dog had to have surgery last year to have a lump removed. The surgeon and the staff at BAH took such good care of her! They always follow up, no matter how small of a problem, and are happy to help with any questions or documentation we need. I’d highly recommend taking your pet here!

Dr. Johnson, Nick, Steph, and the entire staff here are lovely. We brought our older cat in after she wasn’t eating as much and had other behavioral changes. They were so good with our grumpy girl and took time with her. The pricing was very transparent and reasonable. We got a diagnosis the next day and Dr. Johnson personally called to go over treatment options and answered so many questions. I am so grateful to have found this clinic that cares so much about animals. The best place to take your furry babies.

I had my dog for over 14 years and together, we made several cross-country moves and lived in 8 states so he was a patient at many a veterinary clinic. While I liked plenty of those vet clinics, I never really found one I loved until Ballard Animal Hospital. The vets are both incredibly knowledgable and incredibly caring, and provided a level of personalization and nuance to my dog's care that I really appreciated. The support staff, the nurses and vet techs, are absolutely wonderful. They all knew my dog by name, were so excited to see him whenever he walked in the door, and the level of care he received is the best I've ever encountered. I'd give a sixth star if I could.

Great people clean environment and I would bring my animals back here 100%. Parking for Seattle is great, however, it is a pretty small lot. The people who worked with my animals were great, when the newer person didn’t quite know how to hold the cat the senior person took over very quickly and handled the situation. Had they not done that this would be a very different review. Overall, I like this place, but I was only there once as I’m traveling back to Colorado soon and was only in Seattle for a year.
