Can’t say enough good things ❣️ My English Mastiff was younger (3 yrs.) when we noticed bunny hopping starting, so I went for an evaluation. My girl had low muscle tone and needed strength to help support her build…They did wonders with her. Taught us the exercises and stretches too! They had a ton of equipment to work her as well. She did fabulous and checked up on us for a couple of yrs. with phone calls and showed true CARE for her. Today we are back with her again at 8 years old for shots to help rejuvenate her and she is doing fabulous again❣️Seriously, worth every penny as she has truly thrived in their care for years and is enjoying her later years RUNNING around!!

Welcome to Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services
Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services, located at 10100 Old Ridge Rd, Girard, PA 16417, USA, stands as a highly specialized 'Pet Hospital' within the veterinary landscape, exclusively dedicated to the field of animal physical rehabilitation. This facility goes beyond traditional veterinary care by focusing on restoring, maintaining, and promoting optimal function, fitness, wellness, and quality of life for animals suffering from movement disorders, injuries, or age-related conditions. Their approach is rooted in the proven value of physical therapy techniques, which have long been established in human medicine and are rapidly developing with animals, offering a non-invasive path to recovery and enhanced well-being for beloved pets.
The environment at Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services is specifically designed to facilitate physical therapy and create a positive, low-stress experience for animal patients. Unlike a general practice veterinary clinic, a rehabilitation center requires specialized equipment and spaces tailored for therapeutic exercises and modalities. Based on client testimonials, the facility is equipped with a "ton of equipment" to assist in various forms of therapy. This likely includes tools such as cavalletti rails for increasing range of motion, balance balls, ramps, and other exercise equipment crucial for diagnosing and treating sprains, strains, and joint issues. A significant feature of their environment is the integration of hydrotherapy, utilizing an underwater treadmill. Water's buoyancy and resistance properties are harnessed to aid in healing and muscle strengthening, particularly beneficial for neurologic patients and senior dogs with osteoarthritis. The facility is also equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools like therapeutic ultrasound and LASER therapy (Class IV therapeutic laser), which are used to reduce inflammation and promote healing. For patient comfort and safety, the facility reportedly features mainly non-slip flooring, and the staff is committed to examining animals in positions where they are least stressed, creating a positive working environment. The overall atmosphere is geared towards healing, encouragement, and maximizing mobility, ensuring pets feel secure and motivated during their rehabilitation sessions.
Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services offers a highly specialized and comprehensive range of services focused on animal rehabilitation. Their core offerings include movement evaluations to accurately assess a pet's condition and tailor a personalized treatment plan. Hydrotherapy, a cornerstone of their services, is provided via an underwater treadmill, which is instrumental in building muscle strength and improving gait. Therapeutic exercise forms a significant part of their treatment protocols, utilizing various equipment to enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination. They also provide and fit assistive devices, such as wheelchairs (like Walkin' Wheels) and other helpful walking aids, to support animals with mobility challenges. Pain management is an integral component of their care, employing various non-traditional methods including physical therapy techniques, stretching, ultrasound, laser therapy, and acupuncture. The clinic is well-versed in both photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and acupuncture, offering alternative pain relief and healing modalities. Beyond these, services may also include the management or co-management of pain medication with referring veterinarians, recommendations for supplements, and suggestions for modifying the home environment to enhance patient comfort. Each session is meticulously tailored to the individual pet's needs, and the team regularly updates primary care veterinarians to ensure a collaborative approach to the pet's overall health.
The defining feature of Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services is the profound expertise and genuine care provided by its veterinary professionals, notably Dr. Nestor. Customer reviews consistently highlight Dr. Nestor's knowledge and her ability to explain complex medical information clearly, fostering understanding and trust with pet owners. This dedication to client education is a key differentiator. The consistent positive outcomes, such as an English Mastiff thriving for years and "RUNNING around" in her later years after initial treatment for low muscle tone and subsequently receiving "shots to help rejuvenate her," speak volumes about the effectiveness of their programs. The team's commitment to "true CARE" is evident through follow-up phone calls and ongoing support for years after initial treatment. Their proactive approach, from initial evaluations to teaching pet owners exercises and stretches to perform at home, empowers clients to actively participate in their pet's recovery journey. The confidence expressed by a client about their puppy Lucy being in "very good hands" for a luxating patella repair further underscores the trust and high regard the community has for the clinic's surgical and rehabilitation expertise. This blend of cutting-edge equipment, specialized knowledge, and deep compassion for animals makes Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services a truly unique and invaluable resource for pets needing rehabilitation.
While specific, widely advertised promotional "sales" are not typically the focus of specialized veterinary rehabilitation services, Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services likely emphasizes the long-term value and improved quality of life that their treatments provide. Client testimonials, such as "worth every penny" for years of thriving, serve as powerful endorsements, demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of investing in rehabilitation for a pet's enduring health and happiness. Veterinary rehabilitation, by its nature, is an investment in a pet's future mobility and comfort, often preventing more costly or invasive procedures down the line. The clinic's focus on comprehensive care and client education indirectly promotes savings by empowering pet owners to maintain their pet's health and detect issues early. For payment options, they would likely accept major credit cards and may work with pet insurance providers, encouraging clients to inquire about coverage for rehabilitation services. While not explicitly mentioned as a promotional offer, some veterinary practices may offer initial consultation discounts or package deals for multiple rehabilitation sessions; pet owners are encouraged to inquire about such possibilities directly. To learn more about their services, discuss treatment plans, or inquire about payment arrangements, individuals can contact Balance Veterinary Rehabilitation Services at (814) 774-7300 or +1 814-774-7300. The long-term success stories from satisfied clients are perhaps the most compelling promotion for the exceptional care provided at this specialized facility.

Feb 25, 2025 · Mrs. J. RobinsonThis was the 1st time going to Balance Rehab. Really liked Dr. Nestor. She's knowledgeable and explains everything so you understand. She will be doing a luxating patella repair on our little Lucy when she turns a year in Feb. We truly feel Lucy will be in very good hands!!
Jan 02, 2025 · Tammy TotlebenDr Nestor is very knowledgeable and takes the time to fully evaluate your pet's mobility issues. I am so grateful to have a veterinary practice that offers rehabilitation services, including hydrotherapy and cold laser. Sessions are very relaxed, and my corgi looks forward to his visits!!
Jul 31, 2024 · Nicole SylvesterDr. Nestor and all of her staff is amazing! As a dog mom who prefers natural healing as opposed to surgery, I appreciate that Balance is working with my dog to rebuild his muscles and heal his injury (torn Acl). This may not be an option for everybody whose pet has a similar injury, but it’s the perfect option for my pup. The cost is much less than what I expected and the entire experience is much better than I could have hoped for. It’s clean, organized, and there are lots of tools to help the dogs out. Usually there’s only one dog in a room at a time which lets the staff and the pups focus. I love that I’m included in everything my dogs doing while at Balance. In just a few weeks, my dog has seen some great improvement. Forever grateful for finding this hidden gem!
Mar 21, 2023 · Alexandria BrownWe took our puppy in because he was having knee issues and we were referred to Balance. Dr. Nestor took her time examining our pup and spoke with us about all of our options. The whole staff was helpful and our puppy loved walking around and checking the entire place out.
