I worked at a different clinic in Lumberton. After I left that vet (retired and moved) I was closer to Parkton. That vet cheated me out of $300.00 of a credit I had so, I changed to one in Hope Mills. That vet refused to allow me in the room while euthanizing My cat. . I was very upset after I found out they had gassed my cat to death. So then I went to Dr. Deese. I've been using them ever since. The front desk is very kind and respectful. The doctor and other staff are wonderful and I will continue going to them. I'm extremely satisfied.

Welcome to Baird's Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 3169 E Elizabethtown Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358, USA, serving the Lumberton community and surrounding areas. As a local Pet Hospital, Baird's Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary services for the health and well-being of your animal companions.
Information regarding the specific environment of Baird's Animal Hospital is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, a pet hospital offers a space where pet owners can bring their animals for medical care. This generally includes a reception area for check-in and waiting, examination rooms where veterinarians can assess pets, and potentially other areas depending on the services offered, such as surgical suites, diagnostic imaging rooms, and recovery areas for animals after procedures.
The services offered at Baird's Animal Hospital are also not explicitly listed in the provided reviews. However, based on the general nature of a Pet Hospital, it can be inferred that they likely offer a range of veterinary services. These commonly include routine check-ups and wellness exams, vaccinations to protect against various diseases, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and diagnostic services to identify illnesses or injuries. These diagnostic services might involve physical examinations, laboratory tests (like blood work, urine analysis, and fecal exams), and potentially imaging techniques like X-rays.
Furthermore, a Pet Hospital typically provides treatment for various medical conditions, which can include administering medications, providing supportive care, and performing surgical procedures. Surgical services can range from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex operations depending on the veterinarians' specialties and the hospital's facilities. Dental care, including teeth cleaning and treatment for dental diseases, is also often a part of the services offered at a veterinary hospital.
The available customer reviews present a mixed picture of the experiences at Baird's Animal Hospital. One reviewer shares a positive experience, highlighting the kindness and respectfulness of the front desk staff and describing the doctor and other staff as wonderful. This reviewer expresses extreme satisfaction and indicates their intention to continue using Baird's Animal Hospital for their pet care needs. This positive feedback suggests that some clients have had favorable experiences with the clinic's staff and the care provided.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting and highly negative experience. This reviewer alleges being potentially "scammed" and expresses concerns about the competence of some of the veterinary technicians. They recount an incident where a technician mishandled a fluid bag, resulting in a spill on themselves, the reviewer, and their dog. The reviewer also raises serious concerns about the possibility of improper behind-the-scenes practices. Additionally, this reviewer claims that an extra $500 was added to their bill after a set price was quoted multiple times, alleging possession of receipts as proof. Following a confrontation about the bill, the reviewer states they were banned from the establishment, describing it as a "ridiculous establishment." This negative feedback raises significant concerns about the accuracy of billing, the competence of some staff members, and the overall professionalism of the clinic in this particular instance.
Given the conflicting nature of these two reviews, it is challenging to definitively outline the features of Baird's Animal Hospital. The positive review suggests a friendly and competent team, while the negative review raises serious questions about staff competence, billing practices, and customer service. Potential features might include a veterinarian (Dr. Deese, as mentioned in the positive review), front desk staff, and veterinary technicians. However, the contrasting experiences make it difficult to provide an objective and comprehensive list of the hospital's strengths or unique attributes without further information.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Baird's Animal Hospital based on the provided data. Veterinary hospitals sometimes offer promotions to attract new clients or promote specific services. These could include introductory discounts, seasonal specials, or wellness packages. To learn about any current promotions or special offers at Baird's Animal Hospital, it would be necessary to contact them directly.
In conclusion, Baird's Animal Hospital in Lumberton, NC, is a Pet Hospital with varying customer experiences, as reflected in the two available reviews. One reviewer reports a positive experience with kind staff and satisfactory care. However, another reviewer expresses severe concerns regarding potential overcharging, staff competence, and customer service issues. Potential local users should consider these contrasting viewpoints when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care and may wish to seek further information or alternative opinions before choosing Baird's Animal Hospital. Due to the limited and conflicting nature of the provided feedback, a comprehensive and definitively positive introduction to the environment, services, and features of Baird's Animal Hospital cannot be provided at this time.

Jan 01, 2025 · Robin GondekIf you want to be scammed or for your animal to die this is the perfect place for you! I knew more veterinarian knowledge than some of the vet technicians that were handling my dogs which is sad, one technician busted a fluid bag on herself, me and my dog. If they can’t even give fluids to a dog properly what else do you think they do wrong behind close doors? Oh not to mention the extra $500 they added on the bill after they told me the set price multiple times before. Even got the receipts to prove it but when I confront them about it they banned me. Truthfully a ridiculous establishment
Jan 04, 2025 · not dnfskoollOur Sweet baby, Mr. Binky was VERY sick with Parvo. When we got him to Dr. Deese he was almost gone, Dr. Deese kept Mr. Binky in the hospital for 5 days & I am happy to say my Baby is doing WONDERFUL. Honestly, it is amazing how he brought my baby back from being so sick & lifeless. Everyone at Baird's Animal Hospital were wonderful with calling us with updates & allowing us to visit.
Feb 18, 2025 · Billie AltmanThis animal hospital will scam you the moment they realize you will do anything for your pet. Extremely money hungry with 0 ethics establishment. They gave my dog parvo and they told me it would be $3000, all of a sudden it came out to $4000 when I went to pick him up while the vet is out on his hunting trip. Where did this extra thousand come from? To fund his trip? DO NOT COME HERE!!
