As a full-service Pet Hospital, AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital offers an extensive range of veterinary services to cater to the diverse health needs of pets at every stage of their lives. Their commitment to "preventative medicine" is a core philosophy, believing it to be "the key to unlocking your pet's long-term health." This includes comprehensive wellness and preventative care, such as annual wellness exams that involve a full physical examination "from nose to tail," regular diagnostic testing of samples like blood, urine, or feces, and essential vaccinations to protect against common diseases. Beyond routine check-ups, they provide advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound and radiography (X-rays), to accurately identify and understand various health conditions.
Surgical care is a significant offering at AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital, covering a range of procedures to address various medical needs. While specific types of surgeries are not exhaustively listed, a full-service animal hospital typically performs routine spaying and neutering, as well as soft tissue surgeries. Dental care is also a crucial service provided, understanding that pets cannot brush their teeth on their own and that untreated dental disease can lead to painful and expensive issues. Their team assists pet owners in maintaining their pets' oral health to prevent such problems. The hospital is also equipped to provide urgent care for pets experiencing sudden illnesses or injuries, although for emergencies outside of business hours, they may refer clients to specialized emergency facilities, often making a determination over the phone to expedite proper care. Signs such as lethargy, sudden behavioral changes, difficulty breathing, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, diarrhea, or limping are all indicators for which immediate attention is recommended.
A distinctive feature of AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital is its comprehensive approach to species served. While they specialize in treating dogs and cats, their team of veterinarians is also capable of seeing some pocket pets, sheep, and goats, making them a valuable resource for a broader range of animal owners in the community. This versatility sets them apart and demonstrates a commitment to meeting the varied veterinary needs of the region. Furthermore, the hospital emphasizes its highly trained veterinary staff, ensuring that pets receive care from reliable and trustworthy professionals. The strong positive feedback regarding their grooming services, specifically highlighting Megan, indicates a specialized offering that contributes significantly to pet wellness and client satisfaction. This service not only keeps pets looking their best but also provides an opportunity for early detection of skin or coat issues.
While explicit "promotional information" in the form of seasonal discounts or limited-time offers is not detailed in the publicly available information, AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital employs several strategies that serve as ongoing benefits and value propositions to its clients. They highlight their long-standing presence in the community—"Serving Our Community For Over 25 Years"—which inherently promotes trust and reliability. The consistent positive reviews regarding their friendly staff, efficient service, and reasonable prices for services like grooming act as powerful word-of-mouth promotions. They emphasize their mission to provide "individualized and personal attention" and to treat pets "with the same care and attention with which we treat our own," which are strong draws for pet owners seeking personalized and compassionate care. The hospital also offers an online store, providing a convenient way for clients to purchase medications, food, and other essential pet products, which adds to the convenience and overall value proposition for pet owners.
Moreover, AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital supports financial options for pet owners. They accept pet insurance for unexpected accidents and illnesses, advising that pets be insured while still healthy to avoid pre-existing condition exclusions. They also mention that some insurance providers offer routine care add-ons or "wellness plans." For existing medical conditions or unforeseen expenses, they suggest inquiring about financing solutions like CareCredit and Scratchpay. These financial considerations, while not traditional promotions, make quality veterinary care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners. Their emphasis on preventative care also serves as a long-term cost-saving promotion, as it aims to prevent more serious and expensive health issues down the line. Jul 12, 2023 · Cynthia MoatsThe staff and the doctors are wonderful to work with. I had a senior yorkie crossing rainbow bridge and the doctor stayed with us and was a calming presence during a very difficult time. I have since returned for routine k9 exams. I really like the clinic and the staff running it.
