Avon Pet Wellness Clinic Introduce
Avon Pet Wellness Clinic, located at 10242 US-36, Avon, IN 46123, is a "Hospital" category platform offering veterinary services. Customer reviews present a mixed view of the clinic's quality of care.
One customer expressed satisfaction with the service they received, praising Dr. Stone for her thoroughness and clear explanations of their cat's treatment plan. They highly recommended Dr. Stone and the clinic.
However, another customer shared a deeply negative experience. They felt their cat was misdiagnosed and that their concerns about the cat's worsening condition were dismissed. They described feeling they were pressured into force-feeding their cat, which they now regret. The customer expressed feeling that the clinic was primarily focused on financial gain and that their cat suffered unnecessarily due to the misdiagnosis and lack of proper care.
These contrasting reviews indicate a potential inconsistency in the clinic's quality of care and diagnostic accuracy.
Key features and services noted by customers include:
- Veterinary examinations and consultations
- Diagnosis and treatment of pet illnesses
- Potential for thorough explanations and attentive care (as indicated by one review)
- Potential for misdiagnosis and dismissal of serious concerns (as indicated by another review)
- Standard veterinary services
Due to the mixed reviews, it is advisable for pet owners to exercise caution and seek a second opinion if they have concerns about their pet's diagnosis or treatment. For appointments or inquiries, you can contact Avon Pet Wellness Clinic at (463) 258-0614 or +1 463-258-0614.

Oct 26, 2024 · M. MortonI would not recommend talking a pet here . After paying out over 650 dollars was told my kitty just had a parasite I had to have him put to sleep a few days later . His lungs were filled up with fluid and his esophagus tube was blocked . I was told to force feed him which now I think of it as torturing my baby which I will never forgive myself for . Even voiced my concerns a couple days later when I mentioned he didn't have any of the symptoms that he would have had with what they diagnosed him with and how he was not getting any better they didn't take me seriously. With him breathing like he was they should have known that there was more going on with him . Fell like they were only after money which I don't have much of . Just can't get the picture out of my head of holding him down and trying to force food down his throat when he couldn't swallow it. He probably hates me at the end . He shouldn't have had to suffer those few extra days.
Nov 09, 2024 · Lisa HamiltonTerrible experience. I took my cat here after he got into a fight with another cat. He was limping, but the vet claimed he just had a scratch, and she spent much more time trying to upsell to an unrelated $1300 dental procedure. She prescribed pain meds and did nothing else. A few days later, my cat was still limping and in pain, so I called and got scheduled at the Brownsburg office. That vet felt around, said there was a possible abscess, but then gave an antibiotic shot. She told me to continue with the pain medicine, which I have since found out is unsafe to take long-term. Again, the wound itself was not thoroughly examined. After a few more days of my cat being in obvious pain, I ended up having to take him to an emergency vet, where he finally received proper care. The vet there expressed surprise that the vets at the Pet Wellness Clinics had not even clipped the hair around the wound or determined what the injury actually was. He said the wound was very deep, like a laceration, and was not at all just a scratch, as I had originally been told. I was told to follow up with my regular vet. I once again went to the Pet Wellness Clinic in Avon, and I expressed concern over their lack of proper care in the first place that had led to my cat's prolonged suffering (and great expense for me). I was told, "sorry you feel that way." The emergency care vet paperwork sent to the clinic clearly stated that my cat needed a sugar bandage, changed daily, for 3-5 days, and it had only been a day and a half, but the Pet Wellness Clinic doctor to him to the back, put on a dry bandage instead, and never came to speak to me again. I asked the assistant if it was a sugar bandage, she said no, and that the paperwork they had said something different than what i had. It didn't. After checking the paperwork again, she came back and said they didn't have any sugar and I could go to one of their other locations to get a sugar bandage. Then, the incorrect bandaging the vet had put on fell apart and came off of the cat by the time I got home anyway. I ended up having to go back to the emergency vet to get proper bandaging. Now, I'm dealing with a billing nightmare, as the manager claimed I had been sent a breakdown of costs, but I have not received any such thing. She said she would send it again, and I still never got anything. After such poor service that led to unnecessary pain and suffering for my cat, I would have expected that there would be some compensation for the overinflated bills, but no.
Oct 15, 2024 · Lynn HamiltonDo not take your pets to this clinic if you want them to be safe! Highly incompetent, manipulative doctor - Emily stone and her team. Doesn’t listen to the pet parents and is only bothered about money. They hardly care for you or your pets, I really hope and pray the chain replaces this entire team!
Jan 14, 2025 · Anubhuti ShuklaI just went for my first visit today, Veronica was amazing and so helpful. She broke down every price question I had. She was so nice and could answer anything else about my cat that I needed. The vet herself was so sweet and caring too! Plus they got me in same day!
