We came two separate times for my mother’s dog. She lives in Queensbridge housing and is a senior. We made our appointment and came because her dog, Benny, had a very bad skin condition. They gave us an antibiotics and special wipes. His skin issue is gone. I purchased two separate creams on-line and they did not work. Thank god the people at the ASPCA in Long Island City helped us with his skin issue. Second time was an emergency. Benny was not breathing properly and his tongue was blue. He was originally hiding from us and he was scared. We went without an appointment. We thought we would be turned away but they took us. We had to wait but we did not care. The Dr. saw Benny and said he needed an X-Ray. They made the appointment, that same day, and sent us in an Uber to the ASPCA West 92nd Street location. Benny got the X-Ray but fought the staff. He stopped breathing but they were able to save him. Benny is a toy chihuahua and small dogs like him can have trachea issues. Dr. Ang showed us the X-Ray. He said we would try medication. Benny was put on 4 medications. He spent the night and I picked him up the next day. My mother’s bill was so low. They saw him, did the X-Ray, gave him oxygen, kepted him over night, and gave us the (4) medications for a very low price. The original bill was $525.00 but my mother paid $100.00 due to her financial situation. Plus the ASPCA in Long Island City has never charged her for anything. I’m so glad the ASPCA is here in Long Island City. They are very professional and try to do the best they can with the equipment they have.

We have a hyper allergenic all white pitbull puppy! We went here to get her spayed through the company we adopted her through! Although, things didn’t go as planned for spaying because of our pups allergies. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of service and care they have for any animal that comes through their doors. They watched over our dog and took amazing care of her. 🥰🥹 Upon us picking her up they informed us that because of her allergy response they didn’t feel comfortable completing the procedure (which I highly respect & greatly appreciate!) 🥺 but they even gave us paperwork with information about potential allergies and medicated soaps and wipes and even some steroids to bring down her swelling!🩷 If I could share anything with anyone about my experience here- is do not hesitate for one second! They are amazing at what they do and they take the utmost respect and care for your pets and if it were their own! Donating to them from now on because of how blown away of a great experience we have had! ❤️ **(Even compared to the service we have experienced at our own veterinarian out in Long Island )**

About two weeks ago, I took my cat for a checkup. The front desk staff, Dr. Naula and her assistants were all superb. Those who work behind the scenes, coordinating this important service, are simply amazing. Thank you all.

I took my puppy for his neutering and he was also supposed to get his other vaccines and a checkup. The neutering and vaccine was fine but I had briefly mentioned when dropping him off that he was already microchipped. They didn’t even check him or his records before microchipping him AGAIN! They also were supposed to clip his nails but didn’t do that either.
