we have made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize our cherished four-legged companions, Luna & Layla. Despite the emotional turmoil and complexity of making that decision, the ASPCA was extremely accommodating once I was able to reach them on the phone. Their staff was courteous and helpful. Throughout regular working office hours, I was able to leave my number for a call back. I received the call back shortly afterward, indicating availability for the same day, which was a heart wrenching feeling to have knowing that today would be the last day. However, their staff was more than helpful not only with my pets but also with my emotional well-being during this challenging process. The facilities were exceptionally beautiful. The veterinarians were extremely polite and helpful. Both of my dogs received excellent care in their final moments. As a pet owner, making the difficult decision to let your beloved companions pass is the most challenging aspect of pet ownership. **Note:** If you are a pet owner experiencing an emergency over the weekend, the ASPCA will not be able to assist you. Their phone lines are not operational during these hours, and attempting to contact them will likely result in frustration. In the event of an emergency, it is imperative to seek immediate veterinary care. However, if you are not experiencing an emergency, it is advisable to make an appointment during their regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Street parking is unavailable without risking a parking ticket or potential towing. However, a parking lot is available for payment a few hundred feet east of the ASPCA, and meter parking is available one block north.

Welcome to ASPCA Animal Hospital
Introducing the ASPCA Animal Hospital, located at 424 E 92nd St in New York City. As a dedicated Pet Hospital, the ASPCA Animal Hospital provides crucial veterinary services, particularly noted for its compassionate emergency care.
Customer reviews highlight the hospital's beautiful facilities and the polite and helpful nature of the veterinarians and staff. Even in emotionally challenging situations, such as making the difficult decision for humane euthanasia, the ASPCA staff is described as extremely accommodating and supportive, attending not only to the pets' needs but also to the emotional well-being of the owners.
The ASPCA Animal Hospital appears to be a vital resource, especially for pet emergencies. One reviewer shared their experience of securing a same-day appointment for a dog with a bowel obstruction requiring surgery. They praised the doctors and staff for their constant updates and willingness to answer questions. The reviewer also noted the affordability of the care received, although prices may vary.
A key feature to note is the hospital's operational hours. The ASPCA Animal Hospital primarily operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Importantly, they do not offer emergency services over the weekend. Pet owners experiencing an emergency outside of these hours are advised to seek immediate veterinary care elsewhere, as their phone lines are not operational during weekends, which could lead to frustration during a critical time.
For non-emergency situations, appointments should be made during their weekday business hours. Be aware that securing an appointment, especially for urgent needs, may require calling promptly at 8 AM due to high demand. Phone wait times can be long, but reviewers indicate that the quality of care makes it worthwhile.
Regarding parking, street parking is limited and risky. However, a paid parking lot is conveniently located a few hundred feet east of the hospital, and metered parking is available one block north.
In summary, the ASPCA Animal Hospital is described as an "absolutely amazing" place, particularly for emergency situations during their operating hours. They offer compassionate care, have beautiful facilities, and are staffed by polite and helpful professionals. While weekend emergency services are not available and appointment booking can be challenging due to demand, their dedication to animal welfare during their operating hours makes them a significant resource for the local community.

Feb 27, 2025 路 Piero RamosThis place was absolutely amazing. If I could leave 10 stars, I would. First off, to get an appointment was extremely difficult. You have to call 8am on the dot. The wait time over the phone was very long but I promise it is worth it, especially if your pet has an emergency like mine had. I eventually was able to get a same day appointment and when I arrived, my dog and I had to wait for about an hour before being seen. Once seen, he was immediately taken care of. He had a bowl obstruction and was required to have surgery the next day. Doctors and staff were constantly keeping me up to date. If I had any questions, they had no issues answering. Whoever does come here or plan to call for their appointment, keep in mind that this place is more for emergencies than anything else. Other pet owners will be there waiting as well, most likely for follow ups or emergency related issues, so don鈥檛 be surprised if there is a bit of a wait when you get there. But like I said before, the wait is worth it. Overall, my dog was admitted on a Friday and I got him back on Monday. With the IV fluids, his surgery and overnight stays, everything came out to $250. (I believe prices vary from people but that was my price) I am absolutely grateful for this place and amazing staff. They saved my baby and his recovery is going great so far 馃馃徎馃挄 Hope this review helps.
Dec 27, 2024 路 Mireya CortesWent here to have my senior dog euthanized on 11/30. TLDR amazing experience, kind and patient staff, affordable. was extremely impressed. when we arrived we had to check in with security and then took the elevator to the clinic. staff was super friendly and placed us in a private room with our little man. there was relaxing music playing, treats, tissues, blankets, a couch, a sign with his name on it. the vet was so kind and thorough with explaining things and letting us know exactly how the process would work. they gave us as much time as we needed and let us say our goodbyes as we wished. the environment was extremely clean, quiet, and calming. they told us that they took his paw prints and nose print and will be sending that in the mail as well. i also requested a digital copy through a form they emailed me. we were able to afford his ashes for $125 and they arrived today with a nice customized card with his ashes inside a floral carved wooden box. we were emailed a USPS tracking number which made the waiting less stressful. We are forever grateful for ASPCA and the staff here for making this painful experience for us a little softer.
Dec 06, 2024 路 Dianna CoxI love the services they provide here, I really do, but the phone line system is so confusing. How do I call 3 times at 8, 8:02, and 8:05 and it says the lines are closed, then I call again at 8:12 and they say all appointments are filled. Smh. This is kind of frustrating, especially since we鈥檝e been here already and was told to make another appt if the issue persists.
Dec 26, 2024 路 QuadinaASPCA in New York is an incredibly helpful place for those with a limited income who need quality care for their pets. Owning a pet is expensive, and if, like us, you鈥檝e rescued four cats from the streets, each requiring medical attention, ASPCA becomes a true lifesaver. For a relatively small fee, you receive top-notch service and the professionalism of their veterinarians. They not only treat the animals with care but also take the time to explain everything to the owners, ensuring the best possible care. The only downside is the difficulty in getting an appointment. You need to call exactly at 8:00 AM, and if you鈥檙e even a minute late, all the appointments might already be booked. We鈥檝e visited this hospital twice, and each time, we were very satisfied with the care our pets received. Huge thanks to the ASPCA team for their dedication to the well-being of our furry friends! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for professional care at an affordable price.
