If I could give this place a thousand stars I would. Back in August of 2024, my little Papillon Mabel fractured both of her front legs. She had surgery at a local surgery center and healed but then fractured her left leg again. The surgery center repaired the new fracture in her left leg but over time, things got extremely complicated. As her leg progressively got worse, I knew that if we were going to save her leg, I needed to find an Orthopedic specialist ASAP. I decided to take the chance and sent a message to ACOSM to see if they could help us. The amazing office manager Jules called me back right away and set us up for a consultation with Dr. Trumpatori. When we went to our consultation, I immediately felt at ease and knew it was the best decision I could’ve made. There were some options we could try and I finally had some hope that maybe we could turn things around. Dr. Trumpatori has been incredible in his efforts to help us save Mabel’s little leg and he’s always extremely pleasant to deal with. When I had to leave Mabel overnight for her big surgery, I knew she was in good hands and I was kept updated and informed about everything. I can’t wait until my little girl is recovered but even after countless bandage changes and rechecks, I still love coming to our appointments and seeing everyone’s friendly faces. We are always welcomed with kindness and treated so well at our appointments and anytime I have a question or concern about anything. Mabel loves everyone here, especially her favorite tech Kylie. I cannot recommend ACOSM enough. I have truly been blown away at the level of care we have received here. They are the best of the best!

Moved here from Chicago three years ago, and we loved our vets/surgical specialists there! We adopted a puppy in few months ago, and turned out that she needed shoulder surgery. I panicked! Our 7mth old puppy had to have significant surgery, and I had no personal experience with a specialist. Our Scottsdale vet referred us to AZ Canine Orthopedics & SM. So grateful! From start to finish, EVERYONE was incredibly understanding, patient, thorough, and loving on our pup. Dr Brian Petrovsky was simply amazing! His demeanor and thorough explanations put us at ease. He even appeased us with an additional appt prior to surgery just to make sure we felt comfortable with everything. I am hoping that our pup doesn't need many more surgeries, but if so I definitely know where I am going. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I booked an appointment here to get a second opinion on my dog's case after already having extensive diagnostics at other clinics and consulting with several vets, and I'm so glad I did. This was the most thorough orthopedic exam I had ever seen performed and Dr. Petrovsky was not only very knowledgeable, but also has excellent communication skills. I left the appointment feeling like I had a much better understanding of her condition and feeling very validated with my treatment choices. He was very thorough in going over everything with me, even taking the time to show me her CT images and normal examples for comparison. The support staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond - my dog loved them immediately. I would highly recommend this place, even as someone who has worked in the field before and a current vet student, I learned so much and was very impressed!

I had a wonderful experience with the staff and vet initially. Dr. Petrovsky provided a clear and confident diagnosis along with a concise treatment plan involving surgical intervention. Surgery was scheduled for approximately 1.5 months after the initial consultation. A few weeks later, I called to ask a question about post-operative care. During that call, the secretary informed me that my dog was no longer on the surgery schedule and offered a new date roughly a month after the original surgery was planned. She confirmed that my dog had been on the schedule at one point but was unable to explain why he had been removed. I want to note that the secretary was very pleasant and understanding throughout this conversation. Unfortunately, I have to leave a 2-star review. If I hadn’t called, I wouldn’t have known the surgery was no longer scheduled. While I hope this was a random scheduling mishap, it was devastating to learn that my dog will remain in pain longer than necessary due to this oversight.
