I called to take my cat in as a new client. I was told by the lady who answered the phone that she's short to doctors and she couldn't schedule anything this week. Then she asked me to pay $160 as a new client but she wouldn't tell me when I could schedule. I asked when is the appointment going to be before I commit to the payment, she said well that's what I need now. Screw that!! Will go another place .. looks like they don't need my business..

Welcome to Arden Animal Hospital: Limburg Lee DVM
For pet owners in Glendale, California, seeking veterinary services, **Arden Animal Hospital**, featuring **Dr. Lee Limburg DVM**, presents itself as a local "Pet Hospital." Located at **407 Arden Ave, Glendale, CA 91203, USA**, and reachable via phone at **(818) 246-2478** or **+1 818-246-2478**, this clinic aims to provide a range of healthcare options for companion animals. This introduction will objectively detail the clinic's environment, the services typically offered by such a facility, its distinctive features, and any available promotional information, while also addressing critical customer feedback.
The "environment" of Arden Animal Hospital, as a general practice veterinary clinic, is designed to facilitate the examination and treatment of pets. While specific details about the interior design or layout are not provided in the given information, a typical "Pet Hospital" environment includes a reception area, multiple examination rooms, a laboratory for basic diagnostics, and potentially a surgical suite for routine procedures. The goal is to provide a clean, safe, and professional space for pets and their owners. The atmosphere aims to be welcoming, and the professionalism of the front desk staff is often crucial in shaping a client's initial impression and overall experience. Given that it is a dedicated animal hospital, the environment is specifically tailored to minimize stress for animals where possible, although the comfort level can vary based on individual pet temperaments. The provided reviews suggest that interactions with the front desk staff can significantly influence a new client's perception of the clinic's operational efficiency and client service.
As a general practice "Pet Hospital," Arden Animal Hospital is expected to offer a comprehensive array of veterinary services for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, but with a notable specialization highlighted in the reviews. Common services typically include:
- **Routine Wellness Exams:** Essential for preventative care, monitoring overall health, and early detection of potential issues.
- **Vaccinations:** Administration of core and non-core vaccines crucial for protecting pets against common infectious diseases.
- **Parasite Prevention and Control:** Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of internal (e.g., heartworms, intestinal worms) and external (e.g., fleas, ticks) parasites.
- **Diagnostic Services:** This would involve in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis) and potentially external laboratory services for more specialized diagnostics, as well as basic imaging like X-rays.
- **General Surgery:** Routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and minor soft tissue surgeries.
- **Dental Care:** Professional dental cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments.
- **Treatment for Illness and Injury:** Diagnosis and management of various medical conditions, including infections, skin issues, gastrointestinal problems, and minor injuries.
- **Nutritional Counseling:** Advice on appropriate diets for pets at different life stages or with specific health concerns.
- **Microchipping:** For pet identification and reunification in case of loss.
The reviews specifically highlight Dr. Limburg's expertise with rabbits, suggesting a specialization or strong proficiency in **exotic pet care**, which is a valuable and less common service among general practices.
The "features" of Arden Animal Hospital, particularly concerning Dr. Lee Limburg, are characterized by a mixed, yet distinct, set of attributes based on the provided customer feedback. A standout positive feature is **Dr. Limburg's exceptional care and expertise, particularly with rabbits and emergencies**. One highly positive review states, "Dr Limburg is the absolute best. I’ve been going to her for the last few years now. She is always attentive to my rabbits and their needs and is super responsive, especially with emergencies." This highlights her **attentiveness to patient needs**, her **responsiveness in critical situations**, and her **specialization in less common pets** like rabbits, which is a significant advantage for owners of such animals. Her long-term client relationships also suggest a feature of **consistent, reliable care** that builds trust over time. This personalized and dedicated approach to veterinary medicine is a key distinguishing factor. The term "super responsive" suggests a feature of excellent communication and availability during urgent situations, which is highly valued by pet owners.
However, another review reveals a concerning operational feature related to **client intake and scheduling**. A potential new client described a negative experience where they were asked to pay a new client fee of $160 without a confirmed appointment time due to staffing shortages. The sentiment "Screw that!! Will go another place .. looks like they don't need my business.." indicates a critical breakdown in initial customer service and operational transparency. This suggests that while the medical care might be excellent (as per the positive review), the **front office processes, especially for new clients, can be problematic**, leading to a perception of disorganization or a lack of willingness to accommodate new business. This contrast in reviews highlights that while the medical expertise, especially for specific pet types like rabbits, appears to be a strong positive feature, the client-facing administrative processes, particularly regarding scheduling and new patient onboarding, can be a significant point of friction.
Regarding "promotional information," the provided data does not explicitly detail any specific promotions or discounts offered by Arden Animal Hospital. Veterinary clinics typically engage in various forms of promotion to attract and retain clients. These might include:
- **New client incentives:** Such as a discount on the first examination.
- **Wellness plans:** Bundled services for preventative care at a fixed monthly fee.
- **Seasonal promotions:** For vaccinations or specific health screenings.
- **Online presence:** A website detailing services, veterinarian biographies, and clinic philosophy.
- **Acceptance of pet insurance:** To help clients manage unexpected costs.
- **Payment options:** Such as CareCredit or Scratchpay for larger bills.
Given the negative experience with the new client fee and scheduling, it's possible that the clinic's internal operational challenges might impact their ability to consistently offer and communicate broad promotional efforts. However, the strong positive feedback for Dr. Limburg suggests that word-of-mouth and her specialized expertise serve as a significant form of "promotion" for certain pet owners, particularly those with exotic pets or requiring responsive emergency care. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on services, fees, and any potential promotions, prospective clients are strongly advised to contact Arden Animal Hospital directly at **(818) 246-2478** or **+1 818-246-2478** and clearly inquire about the new client process and appointment availability before committing to any payments.
In conclusion, Arden Animal Hospital, operating as a "Pet Hospital" in Glendale, CA, offers general veterinary services with a notable strength in exotic pet care, particularly for rabbits, provided by Dr. Lee Limburg DVM. Dr. Limburg is praised for her attentiveness, responsiveness in emergencies, and consistent, high-quality care. This makes the hospital a strong choice for owners of specific pet types and those valuing a highly responsive veterinarian. However, the clinic's administrative and client intake processes, especially for new clients, appear to be a point of concern, potentially leading to frustration regarding scheduling and payment transparency. Pet owners should weigh these aspects carefully, and direct communication with the clinic to understand their current policies and availability is highly recommended.

Nov 01, 2023 · Laura CardoI wanted give zero star for this review. Yesterday early morning my dog had diarrhea badly with blood. I was so scared and to called arden animal hospital to speak with my Dr. I called several times and left messages but didn't get the return call. I called again and at the front desk got me, the name was TENDORA?PENDORA? .. I wanted to speak with Dr. so I beged her just for one minute to ask medication but she said "NO" I was so upset because she said "Why are you calling here? GO THE EMERGENCY!" And she hung up the phone and ignored me. I went to emergency and spent $870.00 She was very RUDE and NO MANNER at all. This hospital is my first vet its been a long time to visit and all doctors are very kind specially my doctor but not the front desk. They definitely have to change to kindness people for front desk employees.
Jul 01, 2021 · 이쁘니뚱이Took my dog here two years ago. Although a chain each office is Independent. Sadly the one great vet that was there moved to New York. Pricey and commercialized. Good Care.
Jun 20, 2019 · Annie HovsepianI'd been taking my pets there for years now and won't change them. Very professional staff.
