Took my new kitten here after a great experience with the vet comprehensive exam of my senior dog. But I didn’t feel like they took as much time examining my kitten, they also didn't give any advice for being a new cat parent, or ask if i had any questions (which i had tons). He was a stray and I wasn't sure what health conditions he was in. They had me fill out a pre-appt form, but it didnt seem to have reviewed it at all as I listed some concerns on that paperwork and the doctor didn’t take a look at any of those until I pointed them out at the end of the visit.. I was really disappointed as I had such a great experience with my senior dog.. The cat tree in the room was nice though

When it's time to welcome a new 4-legged family member, they'll be coming back to A.P.A.W. There's even a memorial garden for remembering all our loved ones right there at the office. Complete, compassionate care for the furry folk is my experience with A.P.A.W. I had that experience with multiple veterinarians here. Also, disclaimer, I love cats AND dogs, and I think it's fantastic A.P.A.W. has part of the waiting room designated dog-free (i.e. cat-friendly). They've really thought about a lot of ways to keep our companions comfortable. Don't forget there's parking in the back, too!
Apr 13, 2024 · Drew CarlisleBest Vet hospital. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Dr. Boyce, Dr. Johnson and their team are attentive, knowledgeable and understanding. Overall, they are exceptional. I highly recommend them for all your pets needs/care.
Sep 20, 2024 · Roy ReynoldsMy new favorite vet! I bought my dog in for a bump that had formed on his abdomen and was growing by the day. They were able to make time to see him the same day, which I am very appreciative of because I know vets and doctors are backed up due to covid. They even went the extra mile to send me a photo of him during his appointment. The doctor came out and explained what was going on, a few antibiotics and a week later and I have seen a great improvement, he is almost as good as new! I will definitely be making this my primary vet going forward (Bonus points that they take care plus insurance)
Mar 15, 2021 · Taylor WashingtonI spent 14 years with my fur baby at APAW. That’s a long time! Why? Because my fur baby meant the world to me and I wanted nothing but the best for her. The compassion meant the most, then the care. If a vet doesn’t have compassion for a pet parent who may come in not knowledgeable of anything or very upset, compassion and understanding is going to be needed to calm that parent and properly treat and explain what’s going on. I love the staff, they are all friendly and know every fur baby that comes in. Couldn’t ask for a better veterinarian in the DMV area.
