I took my year and a half old cat in to be fixed on the high recommendation of a friend and could not be happier with the service. She was handled with so much care, it was super clean, and they made sure that everyone felt comfortable and had no questions. We are almost 2 weeks post op now and she is healing beautifully. Thank you, Animal Wellness Center!

Our dog was sick falling over, not eating etc...he wasn't himself for quite a few days and it was scary to watch him suffer and in pain. We called and got him right in. Didn't take a lot of time to get answers and be on our way. Turned out our beloved has lime disease, the vet said he's in good health otherwise! They took very good care of us all....thanks so much!

They just helped me through the hardest thing I've ever done. They are warm and compassionate and don't push you into choices. They truly care about our pets and that matters so much. I'm so thankful.

The appointment with the vet was sensational. I felt confident & supported. If not for the treatment I received by her technician when the vet left for another appointment, I'd give a 5 star rating without a second thought. However, the technician spoke in a terse, judgmental, negative and agitated tone refusing to bandage dog as directed by vet. She refused to show me how to use the pressure bandage indicating I was too incompetent to do it properly. She made it clear that we were wasting her time, over our appointment time, and that she had important duties we were keeping her from performing. Belgians, like most herding & working dogs, are highly tuned & protective of their people. Attacking - even verbally - is considered a threat. Had it not been critical to get the wound properly dressed, I would have left the minute that tech came in the room with her attitude. I should have slapped a plastic bag on his foot with some duct tape & rebandaged by myself when I got home as I had done the other days. It went from being a great appointment to the worst experience I have EVER had at a clinic.  I worked for one of the most renowned vets in the country at a clinic for 7 years. I have NEVER seen a tech treat a patient or owner with such utter disrespect. Had I EVER spoken to a client in that manner, I would have been fired on the spot. I made it clear in the initial call & conversations how vital it would be for the vet to be positive & gentle for a dog with his background to be able to deal with what he could be facing in recovery. The other two clinics took this seriously - this visit was appalling. It is apparent that office work and phone coverage are her priorities because when I phoned upon arrival at the clinic, I said I needed her to hold my dog's leash while I gathered my stuff. She said she didn't have time for that because of the phones. When she came out, she did hold the leash but was impatient AGAIN stating that she had calls to answer. At least she was civil at that time. Both my dog & I were traumatized by her actions. We spent the weekend dealing with the adrenaline dump & desensitizing my dog from the incident. Note that my neighbor came over to help on Saturday. No leash or restraints were needed. My dog had his chest petted & licked peanut butter off a stick while I bandaged. All voices were calm & reassuring. No teeth or snarling... Although this can be placed on the tech, a vet allowing this behavior is just as responsible. Clearly the phones are more important than a patient.
