Animal Urgent Care

My boy Angus became very sick throughout the day. Of course on a weekend where his regular vet is unavailable. It got so much worse where I knew he needed a doctor I found Animal Urgent Care, at this point I called to make sure they could see him and they said absolutely. I can't say enough good things about our experience . They treated him so gentle and loving, he is a Rottie so some are intimidated, not here. Our vet, Dr. Radtke was very open and transparent with our options and all the staff did everything to possible to take care of us. I highly recommend, Angus is feeling better today so I know the right path was taken. Thank you!!!

A vet urgent is the best concept! My dog wasn’t having a life threatening emergency but our regular vet was closed at 2pm. I had to be at the next day at 0630 on Saturday and had to work Monday as well. Her hot spot would have been really awful by Tuesday! I was able to make an appointment online after work. They took us in on time-The tech and doc were awesome-in and out in 30 minutes. Didn’t cost me an arm and a leg! My dog is on the road to recovery and I didn’t have to miss work. Thank you! My dog Julie had an ingrown nail that went inside her paw, nevertheless the nurse and doctor made everything nice and smooth. We were there for less than an hour.

I went in today to get my dog checked with my husband because he had been vomitting a lot recently and had a low appetite. I was very disappointed in the quality of service we received from Dr. Jane. My husband and I heard our puppy crying and screaming from the other room while the doctor and nurse went to take his X-rays which naturally as owners caused us concern and was hard for me to hear my puppy in such distress. When his X-rays were done, we received very rude and unprofessional comments from Dr.Jane about our puppies behavior. She had told us we had a “bad dog” and that we should “train him more” which really had shocked and upset us to hear such rude comments about our puppy. This was very unprofessional and none of her business to tell us how we should discipline our dog or make any rude remarks about our dog especially when it wasn’t asked for… ANY young dog would be nervous in an environment completely new to them and around people they have never met touching them and taking them away from their owners. My dog has separation anxiety and I am not saying that he couldn’t use more training or is perfect but he is NOT an aggressive dog. He has been around family members and kids who have both touched and held him and he has NEVER bitten any of them. In fact, my dog gets scared and easily frightened around new people and other dogs and often runs or hides which is why this remark was really hurtful to us and uncalled for. As worried pet owners all we wanted to hear is how our dog will be doing NOT rude remarks and complaints about our dog.

We came to the Animal Urgent Care in CP on 11/3 because my dog had a medical emergency and the surrounding Animal Hospitals had an extremely long wait. While my visit unfortunately ended with my pet passing away (At no fault to this UC), I want to commend them for their professionalism and attentiveness that they showed my dog Mimzie, husband and I during this difficult day. The company that they recommended for cremation was also wonderful and my girl was home in less than 24 hours. I would recommend them in a heart beat and in the future we will be back.
