I absolutely LOVE this vet office and the people inside of it. I called 4 different veterinary offices in the state of Alabama for my pet chameleon Pascal and none of them took in chameleons. I had lost all hope and was preparing to wake up one morning and see him gone, when a close friend of mine told me about this place and how amazing the staff was with her cats. I decided to give it a try and was happily surprised when they got an appointment set up with Dr. Alison Trotter. Dr Trotter was amazing and answered all of my questions as a worried chameleon mom. She confirmed there was nothing wrong with Pascal and gave me a list of set instructions on how to fix what was going on. She was so caring and gentle with him and the entire staff was so kind to me. I will definitely be using them as my primary reptilian veterinary clinic!

Office is very caring toward your pet taking great care not to hurt or scare them while still getting their jobs done. It's always been easy to schedule an appointment and they have been very flexible/accommodating with me on scheduling during unusual incidents going on in my life. The prices are relatively reasonable and about average when compared with the other veterinarians in the area. I would definitely recommend them to another!

Front office staff very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Three generations of my family (Meek and Moses) have chosen the downtown location of Animal Medical to take our pets to for care. In general, we’ve received adequate treatment for our pets. The doctors have come and gone. Recently, Dr. Nick Raineseck left the Practice. There’s been no effort from the Office staff to notify us of availability of our chosen Vet until we try to set up continuing care. I chose to leave the Practice last week. I had no idea that 3 other members of my family left the practice THIS Year! I’m also considering contacting ADA with complaints about how there seems to be NO consideration for customers who are Handicapped. I struggle to stay active. However, I’ve never received any assistance from staff as they watch me struggle to safely enter or leave the Clinic with my pet. These recent attitudes/actions from Office Personnel causes me to wonder “What has happened with this Veterinary Practice?” My family were among the first clients to sign-up years ago when the Doctor first established his Practice.

Today we put down our sweet 12 yo German Shepherd / Chow mix Molly. Dr. Allison Trotter, techs & front office staff couldn’t have been any kinder, sympathetic, caring & professional. My husband, daughter & myself were in the room and watched Molly go to sleep. The process was explained to us step by step. It was a peaceful and affordable experience. Molly was cremated. Highly recommend AMC of Prattville for your pet care needs.
